Is there some kind of favoritism and classism going on here?I brought my 10 years daughter with wheezing (yes, she has Asthma) sneezing, coughing, vomiting, chills and more than 103 fever...and we waited for more than 3 hours watching people's that brought their kids after us getting in... And this is one of the worse feeling for any parent!seeing

My infant daughter was rushed here recently, contracted covid and another infection. The nurses and doctors who treated her were excellent, made sure her mom and I were comfortable and reassuring us every step of the process to her recovery. Really happy with the service we were provided. Would highly recommend this hospital to any parent.

My son was seen in the ER a couple weeks ago for vomiting and lethargy. We saw an older NP lady, who didn't even do a full exam on him. All she did was check his breathing and gave him Zofran. She told me to follow up with his PCP, which I told her I actually made an appt for him in a few hours. She caught an attitude and even called his PCP, telling them I came in. Good thing I did because my son ended up having a double ear infection! She would have caught that if she checked them! I swear, human medicine in Iowa is EXTREMELY lacking! Especially UnityPoint facilities. Thank goodness for his ped at MercyOne!

Absolutely a terrible hospital firm. Unity point is nothing more than money seeker outfit. Waited 7 hours at the emergency to get seen for my fractured jaw and swelling throat and had enough waiting so I left. Used to have unity point as a primary care provider and left because of bad service, I'd rather die than deal with unity point ever again

My niece was seen here for a high fever but we were told to simply bring her back in five days if she didn't get better. We took her to a different doctor and they actually ran tests that determined she had a urinary tract infection. The staff here are incompetent and I don't recommend bringing your kids here.

Thank You Barbara at Blank Children’s ER! Went to Blank with a head injury for my daughter and was thoroughly impressed! I especially thank Barbara at the front door for going above and beyond to make my daughter more comfortable!
