Erika O Donnell's Online Review Report Card

I have been seeing Dr Odonnell for over 6 years now. Yes the Staff is a bit off but not rude just busy. Dr Odonnell has always been absolutely amazing with me. Explains what I need to know so I can understand. Always takes the time to talk to me like a human not just another sick person. I will definitely keep seeing Dr Odonnell for as long as I can.

I can't speak highly enough of her. She's very thoughtful and caring. She's been the best Ob/Gyn I've had in 20 years.

Dr. O’Donnell Helped me tremendously since being diagnosed with PCOS. She is very understanding and is a wonderful advocate for her patients.

I would recommend Dr. O’Donnell. She is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and trustworthy. The scheduling staff has unfortunately always been difficult, even unpleasant sometimes, during scheduling and check-in.

The office staff here is terrible. The lack of training is quite obvious. The doctor seems quite confused. I had only seen her a half a dozen times, but every time I was drilled with the same questions...did you have your colonoscopy yet?.....did you have your mammogram yet? The reason why I was there was not as important as the test she insisted I have. And, in some cases, I had to remind her, several times, why I was in for a visit. Three months ago, I called with a question....still waiting for the answer. I gave up and switched doctors, along with my daughter who was not impressed by that office.

Office staff is very rude. I repeatedly requested a call back for three days, with no response. When I finally demanded a response, I was told that I was bothering them, that I was taking them from other patients. As it turned out, I was taking too much thyroid medication, and I was in a hyperthyroid state. I knew something was wrong. The thyroid panel that showed this was about 6 months old. They didn't bother to tell me.

Dr ODonnell is a fantastic doctor. She is kind, considerate, knowledgeable and always focuses on her patient's needs and safety. I would always recommend her to family and friends.

The very best!!! Outstanding care provided by Dr. O'Donnell, extremely experienced. I am a high risk going on my 4th cesarean delivery my husband a CV surgeon has full trust on Dr to deliver or baby. No need to travel outside of our home in Dubuque for medical care. She is simply the BEST

Been to this doctor with my wife over 4 times. Hour and a half wait minimum with instances of two and a half hours. Waiting room is cramped with sick patients coughing right next to you. I don't know why we haven't changed primaries yet. Doctor herself is a pleasant person but a horrible doctor. She will dismiss all your issues and will not investigate your problems unless you spoon feed her medical jargon that suggests what your issue may be. I would recommend finding another primary if possible. These problems are recurring and consistent. I would not be surprised if the positive reviews are fabricated by the staff due to the detrimental impact the truthful poor reviews should have.

I did like Dr. O'donnel enough to return, but the organization of the office and staff leaves much to be desired. Aside from the long wait time ( and per an earlier review, I did get an appt first thing in the am), when I had to call back for an insurance issue, it took over a week to hear back and I had to continually repeat what my issue was to the office worker. For anyone who appreciates great service and care, I would strongly recommend a different dr's office. Though I will give her nurse 5 stars.
