Well as of right now, my 74 year old mother went in with severe carpal tunnel. Dr. Callahan did surgery on both hands. With in 1 day of surgery my mother could not move her thumb. Hummm no problems with the thumb BEFORE the surgery. DJ C. claims its NOT related (yeah right, anything to put another insurance claim thru since my moms insurance is incredible and they will pay it). Then within 1 week, my mother is in EXCRUCIATING PAIN in her entire arm from the hand up to the shoulder to the point where she is not sleeping, popping aspirin daily and crying in pain. This time DJ C. claims he does not do shoulder and its unrelated...YEAH RIGHT. I am the daughter that is 50 years old. I am no dummy. I looked up extensive research about this and I know Dr C. messed up and has caused nerve damage in my moms arm. HORRIBLE DOCTOR, HORRIBLE CARE, and ROBBING INSURANC
We been going to Dr Callahan for a year now. Last fall my son was hospitalized in FL while on vacations for 4 days and they couldnt tell me what was going on. I managed to fly back to Dubuque and next day take him to Dr Callahan and in less than 3 hours he had my son hospitalized with a diagnosed. He came every morning to check on him. The service and professionalism we received from him and his staff is amazing.
Dr. Callahan was patient and interested in my child's health. He was personable and professional.
I wasnt worth his time, even though I sat in the waiting room for 3 hrs
Beware of this guy for Workers Comp. He also doesn't believe in re-surgery and minimizes the injury for permanency purposes to your detriment.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
