I have been seeing Dr. Venkatesh for several years. He is the 5th cardiologist I’ve seen since I developed AF, and he is, far and away, the best. He treats you as a person, not just case. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced (and very “human”) cardiologist. 5 stars!

He never spent more than 3 minutes in a room with my father. When my dad went in because he wasn’t progressing and feeling awful after his bypass surgery, Dr. Venkatesh wouldn’t listen to my dad’s concerns, got irritated with him, placing the blame on my father for not doing all the exercises, and signed him off for another 3 months to continue to feel like garbage. After finding a new cardiologist (who took the time to listen to my dad), we discovered my dad was on way too many medications—things to raise AND lower his blood pressure, more meds to raise AND lower his heart rate, as well as many others for no apparent reason. No wonder he felt terrible and couldn’t do his exercises! Once he was taken off so many medications under the care of a caring cardiologist, my dad has finally begun to improve and regain his strength.
