I moved to Dubuque concerned that I would be unable to replace my former endocrinologist but was fortunate to become one of Dr Putz’s patients. She has kindly but persistently guided me through transitions in my treatment and puts up with my frustration at dealing with the system. I would highly recommend her care.

Very insensitive to patient needs. I understand that she's not in practice to be your friend but I'd much rather see a dr. who is willing to work with me and not just yell at me to come to a beneficial solution.

I've seen Dr Putz for diabetes and she seems well qualified to help a person with that but she was zero help with my thyroid. There's evidence that some diabetes drugs cause thyroid tests to be inaccurate; she and her staff were unaware of this and uninterested in hearing more about it. I need a doctor who treats me as a person and not just the numbers on my lab results.

Does not know enough about thyroid disease to be of any help. Only goes by tsh testing, and ignores symptoms... like most endocrinologists

Dr Putz is one of the few doctors in Dubuque that I trust. Awesome bedside manor and very thorough. She takes my concerns seriously and is always willing to look deeper into finding an answer for symptoms. She is hands down the best endocrinologist for type 1 diabetics in Dubuque. I highly recommend!

It is only out of courtesy to the patient to follow up and let them know about their tests . I am sure my insurance company has been billed by now!
