Absolutely awful and should not be in the mental health field.
my experiance has been pretty negative. She is very negative about treatments that are non medication routes. she loves adding medication even when i have told her i dont want to add more. during all appointments she was lacking any emotion, very dry and seemed half asleep, then about the 8th appointment she was bouncing off the walls, repeating things wrong (which i had said), stating the wrong medication name, it was very bizarre. i thoguth she might be drunk. she was very concerned that i dont miss kindergarten round up for my child?? it was just so weird. im not sure if she was trying to make small talk or what, but i needed medical advice for me, not school advice for my child. i bring up different options I would like to try but she is very negative about getting off of medicine or any treatments such as mdr or TMS . i finally got approved for tms and then she tried to switch my medication, which is NOT recommended during TMS. then trying to get my correct medication refiled was a nightmare. it took several emails and calls during the week.
The worst dr I have ever been to. No bedside manner whatsoever and made A LOT of assumptions. She asked me what I think I had. Then she's like here's some Cymbalta. ISNT THE DR SUPPOSE TO DIAGNOSE YOU??? She seemed more concerned over my yeast infection cream than actually talking about psych issues.
By far the worst experience of my life! I was looking forward to establishing psych care, finally getting some answers by a professional & help getting a clearer diagnosis. I'm a woman in mid 30s. I walked away bawling my eyes out after this visit. She seemed like she would rather be ANYWHERE in the world than to be in that room with me. I was the 1st patient of the morning at 8 am but didn't get brought back until 8:30. How? How can you be behind when I was the first? Obviously didn't care about my time. When I finally got in, she spent 50 minutes of 1 hour updating family history & pointless questionnaires I could have filled out myself while waiting 30 mins! Then to kill more time she went through every med I've ever been prescribed in Epic instead of just simply asking what I take. She questioned me about multivitamins & asked why I haven't started my yeast infection cream yet. (trying to kill time she would get specific about the stupidest-non-psych related things like I really should start my yeast infection cream & I'm better off taking a regular multiple vitamin instead of a gummy. Seriously??? Then we got to my Afrin nose spray, I told her I'm addicted to it. (meaning my nose gets plugged up unless I use it) She assumed because of my history I must use cocaine so she asked me how one abuses Afrin with it because she heard about it but was just curious. I was shocked & puzzled I shrugged my shoulders like how am I suppose to know!?! The last 5-10 mins she finally talked about PSYCH stuff. She asked me what my diagnosis was. I about collapsed being so frustrated. Why is she asking ME what I have? Isn't SHE the one who's suppose to help ME? I told her what I think I had and she said ok you have a choice between 2 SSRI's. She also assumed I abused benzos because when she saw lorazepam on my list she went on about how it's not ideal for long term management & she will not prescribe. I DID NOT EVEN ASK HER TO? The look on her face was priceless when I told her I only take it once a month. Because of my history she ASSUMED all I take is benzos when that's not true. I went through H3LL trying to get my clinic notes over to her as well with the other clinic I was at, but it didn't matter anyways because she wouldn't have read it. I've never felt more insulted in all my life. I bawled my eyes out & it's experiences like this that makes me not want to establish care. I was really hoping to establish a good relationship but instead I just got asked a bunch of stupid pointless questions and was sent out the door. Seriously, the worst experience of my entire life. She said follow up in 4 weeks, ummm NO WAY. I will NEVER go to this lady again! It's sad that this woman works with people with mental illness :( The appt was completely useless & I still have no answers. I left feeling like a piece of dirt.
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! 99% of the visit was her updating questions on the computer, things I could have filled out myself. Didn't seemed the least interested in me. I was looking forward to getting some answers, but instead she seemed more concerned about why I didn't start my yeast infection cream yet (painstakingly going thru every med I've ever been prescribed on Epic) At the end she asked me what my diagnosis was. Made a lot of assumptions. I've never been so hurt in all my life!
I have a heavy heart knowing that this doctor is supposed to be helping people, especially for mental and emotional needs. Find someone else if you are actually seeking guidance or a physician that is present for your visit. This one checked out a long time ago.
Don't waste your time with this doctor. It was an awful experience. She is standoffish. How can that be when she is working in mental health? I don't think she likes her job and I certainly don't know why anyone would take a child to consult with her. It was a very sad and disappointing visit. I was hoping for so much more.
Dr. Duregger didn't seem interested in me whatsoever. She had an unwelcoming demeanor. She mostly read questions off her computer screen with her back to me. She did not provide any new or additional information, but instead only listed medication names. I had really hoped for helpful input and her opinion on further treatment based on my situation, but she wasn't interested in my situation. It felt like she was mostly killing time. I left her office feeling worse than when I went in.
Offered treatment options. Discussed risks and side effects of medications. Discussed medications and how medication would help improve symptoms.
Doctor didn't want to "break protocol" by having me ask for 20 seconds of her time prior to her visiting with my child. She put me on the defensive immediately. Asked her not to discuss actual diagnosis' with my child and she refused. She stated something that made me state to her that it was law she tell me her thoughts on my child's condition. This doctor must not have children as she lacks compassion, is insensitive, and it is her way or the the highway...I took the highway! Run if you have children, she is not suitable to be speaking with adults not alone children. I have been to plenty of docs/therapist/learning specialists in several states and this is the worst person I've met on my very long journey for answers with my child!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
