About a month ago i went to urgent care at northport twice. I said i was having probs breathing.. i got turned away twice because i didnt have an appointment. I talked to someone on the phone about it. They tried to make excuses about it being a clinic and then they said they would get back to me. Well of course they didnt. Could not breathe. And turned away.. anyone know a good lawyer?

Rude desk staff very unprofessional in urgent care, I have hardly ever been here and was unaware there was a different side for drug testing. I've never been drug tested before! Sarcastic explanations for simple questions.

I have always been cared for in a timely manner and caring way. The only time I had to wait long was my fault because I mistakenly made my appointment a a different facility. I've always felt I was well taken care of there.

I would not go to any facility under the UnityPoint name. Policies are not conducive to supporting a patients health and wellness but are more in line with UnityPoint need to keep patients isolated writhing their system or, and this is illogical, not allow patients certain care if not a UnityPoint patient. Basically they don’t want outsiders in which means they are giving away revenue to protect the doctors. You need to use a UnityPoint physician first then get labs vs an outside their system physician order. The inability for units to communicate to each other is also disheartening and at times worsen the patients health. Triage, infection control also are worrisome. Ex. Used suture kit left in room. Used gloves left in room, noticeable due to the blood spots on them. Staff can be as caring and friendly as possible but that does not mean you are being care for properly.

The laddies behind the counter don’t have the proper knowledge. They told me they don’t have a fax number!!! Really? And how my insurance ask for that number in order to send all the information and FMLA request. Is concerning the health knowledge in Muscatine.

My grandson had to go 14 hrs without his ordered albuteral for breathing because when I called to get a new machine because his quit working Instead of them telling the doctor it was urgent that he got approved for a new machine they stalled an extra 2 hoursinstead of the Dr. Being told right away they waited They stalled an extra 2 hours leaving this boy without his medicine

Lynette Rice is the best practitioner I have ever had. She is very thorough, you can tell she cares about her patients, and she listens. I highly recommend her.
