We took our son for his first dental appointment with Dr. John recently. He was great with our son and the appointment was very low pressure and not scary for our little guy. Dr. John even made him a balloon animal with parent permission. The hygienist (Raven) was friendly and interacted will t with the baby and the whole team was very welcoming and tried to make sure it was a positive first dental appointment.

I do not recommend this office. I had care done by Dr. Sengson back in 2017 and over the last couple years I have had a multitude of problems from the care that I received from him five years ago. When I worked with Dr. Sengson, he told me I needed five fillings. This was a shock to me at the time because up until that point I had only had one cavity from when I was a child. However, I trusted the doctor’s judgment, and proceeded with having the five cavities filled.Since then I have had to have three of the five fillings replaced, two of which have now resulted in root canals. The dentist that I now work with, let me know that the fillings I had done were not done well. It is also likely that I will have to have the other two replaced soon. At the time the fillings Dr. Sengson gave me cost $1200 and now with the two root canals, and the other filling replacement, I have spent over $4000 in dental care fixing the problems that he created (and that is with dental insurance). I asked my new dentist if I just have “bad teeth” and he said my teeth are fine. The only teeth I am having problems with are the teeth that have fillings done by Dr. Sengson.Dr. Sengson was very personable, but I have to say I do not feel he did quality work with my dentistry needs. I would advice others looking to seek care here to proceed with caution.

So, my dental phobia is off the charts extreme. I literally think I am going to die in that chair and not walk out. HOWEVER!!! Family First Dental in Plano has been sooooo wonderful. I had some periodontal work done as well as oral surgery with wisdom teeth extractions and bone grafts; and they made me feel comfortable the entire time. They even turned off the lights, turned on the music, and let the gas kick in for like 15 minutes before even coming to numb me. And everything was painless. No joke. So, if you are a big bock bock like me, give them a shot. 👍👍❤️❤️ I’m so happy I found this office!

Everyone at the office is very friendly and accommodating. The office is very clean and everyone is professional and helpful to your needs.

My hygienist Lupe was super attentive and kind. My dentist, while kind, did such a poor job on placing a crown on my tooth that I had to go back to have the tooth reassessments. Fortunately that dentist no longer practices at Family First. Unfortunately, she left pockets in my gums that allow for bacteria to proliferate. Now I need antibiotic and a water pik to see if the problem can be fixed or have the whole tooth recrowned.I have also had a problem with billing. I had the amount owed changed so many times, and when I tried to speak to the management that changes the number they don’t answer. I don’t think I should have to pay so much for poor service. Not only did the dentist do a poor job seating the crown, she dropped the crown on the floor and to the back of my throat during the procedure. I assume she cleaned it, but the new dentist noticed it was chipped.The new dentist also informed me that while it want the best job seating the crown, it’s hard to do a good job of someone is not passionate or is distracted. I’m not sure I want anyone working in my mouth if they are going to be distracted!I would not recommend this practice.

Over the years I have been to many different dental offices and after visiting Family First Dental Care in Plano I will look no further. Dr Shurouk Azzo has consistently provided top notch service and is very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. The hygienist was great and friendly and the staff was professional and accommodating. If you are looking for a dentist in the Plano area, I highly recommend them.

Dr. John was fantastic he’s the only reason I would have given them five stars. The older white female with the glasses at the front window was exact opposite. She was not friendly at all when I walked inside was to the other people. The younger Hispanic woman was friendly. The older female “Says here’s your licenses” and smacks it on the counter. As to say get up now and come get while I’m filling out paperwork. She went as far as to leave my driver’s license on the counter for anyone to see my personal information and t instead of waiting for me to bring the paperwork back up to her like most professionals do. She left it there so another person walks in a says someone left there licenses and brings it to me. It’s is definitely a violation of HIPPA. So I’ll will reach out to them. How you treat people is a reflection of how you were raised and your ignorance.Also the fact I guess the dental assistant didn’t think I could read my BP she hiked it up by 20 on both the systolic and diastolic pressure. I told the Dr. he retook and it read the same. I told him my BP runs low.Then as I was leaving the insurance kept being mentioned was interesting and a bit annoying because it was a referral from my primary care. So I was confused why they couldn’t reach out to them. But it makes since after seeing others deal with the mess from previous experiences with their insurances. I will not be returning. Awesome staff and great customer service. Dr. John is very personable and takes his time and explains everything. Would definitely recommend this place.

Dr. John is great! He is not only a dentist, but is an orthodontist as well. They also use the latest imaging technology available in order to diagnose treatment plans.
