List of Andrew Assenmacher's Reviews
I don’t think Dr’s realize the impact they can have on people’s lives . I am a massage therapist of 17 years and I worked with shoulder and neck pain, and terrible headaches for 12 years . I missed a lot of days because of the headaches . Dr Assenmacher did my shoulder surgery. This surgery changed my life ! I had zero pain after my surgery - well not zero, but nothing like the pain that I had been dealing with for so long . I had surgery pain , that’s it. Most importantly, I don’t have the headaches anymore ! I am so very thankful for Dr Assenmacher , I am back to work and doing great ! Thank you Dr Assenmacher !!!
I had shoulder surgery November 29 2021 ,I came home same day as surgery, the pain I had in my shoulder before surgery was worse than it was after surgery, I did not need the pain medication prescribed for me after surgery Motrin took care of any pain that i had it’s now been 2 months and everything is good I would recommend Dr Assenmacher to anyone
My son suffered a posterior sternoclavicular dislocation in November of 2020. Dr. Assenmacher developed a clear plan for repair and recovery, as this was a rare but significant injury that would require an extensive repair and long recovery time. During recovery, Dr. Assenmacher kept us informed of the next steps and what to expect as our son recovered. I'm glad to say our son is fully recovered from this severe injury and can now continue to enjoy the things he loves doing with no limitation. Thank you, Dr.!!
Dr. Assenmacher is PHENOMENAL! I am a 65 year old female. I fell and severely damaged my shoulder. Dr. Assenmacher recommended a total reverse replacement. I am now five and a half months post-surgery and I have had ZERO pain since I woke in the hospital! My physical therapist (who is also excellent) says that the zero pain is indicative of an EXCELLENT surgeon. Dr. Assenmacher always takes the time to answer all my questions and explains things very clearly! I wish I could give him a ten star rating! ????????????????????
I was injured in early 2020. No Doctor able to help me even with MRI's and I was about to give up and face reality that I'd have to learn to live like this with little function out of my dominant arm. Thanks to Dr. Andrew my surgery took place at the end of the year shortly after I initially seen him and I'm still in recovery but I have gotten back more motion than anyone had thought and the pain has went from a 10 to a 3 in just a matter of weeks. I don't know how I will ever be able to repay him for helping me get back closer to my physical abilities and potential. I will always have all surgeries go through Dr. Andrew. I'd also like to mention his bed side manner is one that will put you at ease and laugh even at the worst of times. Dr. Andrew and his entire office gives you a positive outlook on surgery and recovery and is always willing to help in anyway they can.
Great results, excellent pre/post-op plan & patience to provide good answers to my numerous questions so that I was comfortable with every phase of the process. Repaired retracted Supraspinatus, distal biceps tendon tear and ball/socket arthritis. 6 months later I’m hitting the heavy and speed bags and my shoulder is feeling better than pre-injury. Thankful to Dr. Andrew Assenmacher for allowing me to continue my active life, with minimum delay possible, that’s been important throughout my 57 years.
Had arthroscopy surgery on my right elbow. The outcome was much better than I had hoped for and recovery was so quick that I was amazed. Dr. Assenmacher and his team are excellent professionals and I would highly recommend him for any type of orthopedic surgery.
Dr Assenmacher takes his time to explain in depth to his patients their diagnosis, the plan, and what to expect. He is very thorough with explanations even showed post surgery xrays of work done during surgery. His Physician assistant was very kind and helpful. Office visits could be a long wait on certain days and others I was in and out quickly. After surgery, he provided my family with updates. The only complaint I would have is prior to surgery, I asked about pain management and exercises to help with my shoulder pain. The office staff's reply was very quick. "he doesn't prescribe narcotics prior to surgery." I did not ask for narcotics I asked for a pain management plan. There could of been better suggestions not making it seem like I was drug seeking. Lidoderm patches, motrin, etc. When not asking for a pain management plan the office staff was friendly and kind.
Dr. Assenmacher was absolutely fantastic. He did my rotator cuff and bicep repair. It ended up.that a cadaver graft was necessary. I'm so happy with the results of this surgery. The office staff always helpful and courteous. His assistant Jason also a delight to work with. I would absolutely recommend for anyone who needs orthopedic surgery. Thank you Dr and staff!
I had shoulder surgery and the entire process from beginning to end was great, especially the recovery. I did so much better than friends and family that went to other doctors. I am only 5 months post-op but my shoulder is almost back to 100%!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
