List of MIchael Nagel's Reviews
Terrible presentation. All ego. No insight.
We saw Dr. Nagel for nearly 2 years. At each visit, he would spend less than 10 minutes with us, we would hear exactly the same statistics and "everything looks great." What he wouldn't provide was an actual plan of care or what the long term approach would be. We began to question the approach, and Dr. Nagel became defensive, and was very disrespectful. It's his way or the highway. Find a different office.
If I could rate 0 stars I would. Seeing this doctor for 7 years and absolutely nothing has changed. Prescribed medication even tho we are constantly telling him it is doing nothing but giving him keppra toxicity. Find another neuro to go to. This one isn’t it.
Prescribes medicine and doesn't actually get the patient in for a medication review even if the patients weight and medical history have changed. If you schedule an appointment it has to be at least 6 months out and you will not get an appointment reminder, if they change it on you you wont be notified. You will not get an urgent appointment for someone with a seizure disorder. For almost 5 years he has been treating my daughter, with out actually doing anything, no tests, no diagnosis, just medication that isn't at a therapeutic level. You shouldn't have to switch doctors because the doctor that prescribed the medi won't review it.
6 months out on appointments, then he enters the room 55 minutes after the appointment time to give a generic statement everything seems fine, but still wants us to go annually. Nothing to back up why, just to schedule in 6 months something 6 months after that because why would his office schedule 12 out at the time of the appointment?!
I had been to a few different neurologists with my son… I find Dr. Nagel to be very kind and compassionate also a good listener… People on here are saying that he’s arrogant and I don’t get that at all… He was very nice and kind :-)
Unacceptable wait times for prescription re-fills to be called in. Despite requesting a re-fill 5-7 days early, my son runs out of his medication almost every month because it takes so long for Dr. Nagel to sign off on the re-fill request.
Dr Nagel sees my son. He takes time to listen to him to make sure his medicine is working for him. He is an exceptional doctor
If I could give home a zero star I would. He is unprofessional and has no bed side manner. The wait just to see him isn’t worth it. I have been waiting for an hour and half to see him today. Promised that wait times would be more reasonable when he moved from Toledo clinic to ProMedica and it’s even longer.
My mom was turn to call for my daughter to make a application for the brains without contrast because she have seizures but when she call they said she can't do it because here name is not an the. Paper and they ask lat of questions I didn't like call for a app that why my mom is be help because I been busy with my kids .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
