I had a good experience here. The receptionist was extremely caring and thoughtful. She accommodated my needs better than I would have expected based on my general urgent care experiences. Waited for an hour and got your typical time with doctor/ prescription smoothly. I would come back, although was advised reserving appointments online is most reliable.
Great experience. All were friendly, professional, and helpful. Would recommend, and if needed, I'll go back. Thank you
i usually don’t have issues with any of the practitioners, but the one i had today was incredibly rude. i haven’t been able to keep my water down, and mistakenly thought i was dehydrated. instead of informing me properly, she made a snide remark about how i “can’t be dehydrated if you’re crying”, and how they do not have IV fluids onsite during weekends (which i did not see stated online). i have never been put in this scenario health wise, so i was scared and looking for help. ultimately i was met with an unnecessary attitude, plus overhearing a conversation where i was essentially being ridiculed with other employees. overall a bad experience. nikki/nicky/however you may spell it, maybe work on your bedside manner and how to address patients properly.
I have never been to this one, Lakeview is amazing, & will assume any other one is the same. I really think some have no clue about wait times even w/ appointments. I come from a large metro area and 5 hours is not that long especially when no appt is made.I never make appointments in Iowa; I’m lucky as I have never had a poor experience at UpUC. Now Mercy1 UC- yes- was forgotten until close. And they were like our new system kicked you out/ sorry/ we can make another appt this weekend. I just don’t use Mercy1 UC anymore.
Save yourself a headache and go up the street to DoctorsNow.
Currently going on 3 hours waiting for my 3 year old to be seen. I was told at 11am the earliest appointment was 3pm and they would put me in that slot but I could wait to see if I get in earlier. I assumed it was like a normal urgent care clinic and I’d be fit in when there was an opening. At 2.5 hours in I realized they’re actually just taking people with appointments and not fitting in walk ins. There were lulls between appointments when we could have been fit in. What a waste of time.
I had a great experience! I was able to setup the appointment online to get in first thing in the morning. The Doctor was knowledgeable and extremely kind. This is my new favorite urgent care office!
Bottom line: staff are rude, no bed side manner and is not actually a walk-in clinic but wait times are longer than all other clinics in the metro. Definitely understand why this clinic has a terrible rating. The receptionist are the worst I have dealt with at any unit point clinic. Avoid the older woman with short platinum blonde hair. She has a tendency to tell you you don’t obey her commands. The practitioners definitely do not care about the patient. Supposedly this is a walk in clinic that you have to schedule appointments for and they will not see you without an appt. I waited for over an hour for my scheduled “walk-in appointment”
If they are understaffed or behind the will not answer the phones. Talk about unprofessional!
Won't be coming here unless I need to. I came in after work at 6pm. That's 2 hours before this close. The front desk person said we've reached our maxed and are not taking anymore people. Like really?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
