Waukee Athletico NW is a great place for physical therapy! I can’t say enough good things about everyone there, especially David! Spent 7 weeks working on my tension headaches. They are very knowledgeable and compassionate! Hopefully I never have to go back but if I do, I know who to call. Thanks for everything!

I suffered a shoulder injury that resulted in loss of strength and mobility in my arm. To my surprise, I began to quickly regain my strength after just one session of dry needling. I continued PT and was able to make a full recovery. I am so grateful to the Athletico staff for their support and professionalism throughout my recovery. I highly recommend this PT office!

This is has been a great experience for me in this walking therapy for balance and improving the distance I can walk without my walker. I have had great success with David Birkey, my trainer, in therapy as this is the fourth therapy I have had with David at Athletico. I had two knee replacements and a rotator cuff surgery and I can say I have no pain in my knees or shoulder. This training has helped my balance in walking as I have Myasthenia Gravis. I had McKinley Thompson for a few appointments and she was a great trainer also. Both so personal and caring. I recommend Athletico on Hickman Rd in Waukee.

After having knee pains while running and climbing stairs my normal physician recommended I see a physical therapist. I ended up coming to Athletico and had an overall pleasant experience. I worked with Renee who gave me a mix of at home and at the gym exercise as well as several stretches and other activities to do during our appointments. I immediately noticed improvement after our first few sessions. After a few weeks, I no long felt pain in my knee while running or during regular activities. I have since completed a 10k and did not have my knee pain return. I would definitely recommend Athletico!

David and the staff at Athletico were awesome. I felt like David really listened to what I was saying and adjusted my treatments accordingly. I am MUCH improved and would recommend to anyone needing PT to give him a try.
