I saw Dr. Heckart for my prenatal care throughout my pregnancy, and she delivered my daughter. I could say all sorts of great things regarding her knowledge and clinics skills, but what I most liked about Dr. Heckart was her bedside manner. I gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy and therefore was uneasy with each visit. Dr. Heckart helped relax me and accept what my body was doing. She didn't lecture me or even make a thing out of my weight gain, and for that I was deeply appreciative.

I came to dr Heckart at a very fragile time for me. I was a patient at MAYO Clinic in MN for liver disease & related kidney issues. She was hesitant, at first, to take me on as my disease had progressed to a critical point. But...she did! When others would not. She has a wonderful bedside manner and she doesn't hesitate to tell you what you need to hear. She stuck with me even when MAYO decided to stop treatment. I'm happy to say almost a year later, I am leaving New Orleans with a Newly transplanted liver & kidney. Returning home to Dr Heckart!
