List of Lea Gunnell Md's Reviews
Dr Gunnell makes you feel comfortable and doesn’t rush your appointment. Answers all your questions.
Loved that she was right to the point and made sure I understood what was going on before she left.
Dr Gunnell's patient care, professionalism, communication, and surgical skill were excellent! She fit me in to her full surgery schedule to get a head start on recovery due to my planned vacation. I highly recommend her!!
Amazing provider! Wasn't worried while in her care at all, very thorough, and did great work. Thank you
Very professional and communication about my son's surgery was beyond great. Would highly recommend her.
Dr. Gunnell has been wonderful in my care for a ruptured tendon. From the consultation visit to pre-op to the OR to pacu to post-op discharge her team treated me and took care of my needs 100%. She did a great job explaining what to expect and that has made this unfortunate journey more tolerable. Her nurses did a great job getting me ready for surgery. I am a nurse and the nurses working under her are the ones you want taking care of your health and preparing you. I’m only a few days post-op but will update this review as I move along in my rehabilitation.
Extremely pleased with the care I received from Dr. Gunnell. Wonderful bedside manners, professional, knowledgeable, and caring. A wonderful doctor, indeed!
If I could give zero stars I would. I went to Dr. Gunnell in September of last year. I had fallen in July and injured my ankle. I was seen in the ER with X-rays in July and then saw my regular doctor in August who also took X-rays. It was still massively swollen, so I was referred to Dr. Gunnell. I had previously had awesome experiences at DMOS. They took another set of X-rays, she twisted my ankle around and told me she could tell nothing was torn because of how it felt to her. She said it was just a bad sprain and would just hurt and swell for up to a year. The whole appointment lasted about 10 minutes and she acted like I was wasting her time. Fast forward to November when my ankle was still extremely swollen and painful. I finally went to a podiatrist (Dr. Eric Reese wonderful doctor). He took one look at my ankle and said there was no way it should still be this swollen and painful this many months out and asked if anyone had done a MRI, which they hadn't. MRI revealed I had 1 completely torn tendon and 2 partially torn tendons and I had developed plantar fasciitis from walking funny for so many months. Had to have surgery to repair/replace the tendons. I'm so frustrated that I walked around in pain for months for no reason.
Excellent! Dr.Gunnel wants only the best for each patient. Excellent support staff! Overall, they're a tight working unit, focusing on the patients health. Thank you! [ May need to revisit patient info. sheets about what to do after getting a boot or having surgery. Although it includes many of the expectations of the doctor and the patient, it misses some items.]
Very personal and detailed in her care plan and explanations.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
