Dr. Ries is a great surgeon and his colleagues are equally talented. It’s too bad that he is so swamped that I had to wait 6 weeks for an initial appoint followed by another 10 weeks for a surgical slot. Other than a 16 week wait, the cervical laminectomy and fusion surgery was very successful both in alleviating pain and restoring function to my arms and hands. DMOS would be well served by recruiting another spinal surgeon with Dr. Ries’s talent and personality!

Dr. Ries was very concise and complete with his description of the surgical procedure I needed to alleviate the pain, numbness and weakness on my hands and arms. The laminectomy and cervical fusion procedure was performed without complications and I have been very happy with the results. I still have some residual discomfort and tingling but am 90% improved. Dr. Ries made it plain to me that nerve injury might take months to recover and may never be 100% but the relief I do have has been a true Godsend. Dr. Ries and his associates are extremely talented and very personable. If only DMOS could clone them so the wait for an appointment and surgery wasn’t so prolonged! The wait was certainly not their fault but was the only, albeit significant,“downside” to the entire experience! Thank you Dr. Ries & crew!

He is a very nice doctor. I am worried tho that a recommended surgery may not work and what I will be dealing with if it doesn't work?

Was checked in almost immediately upon arrival, even though we were 20 minutes early. Friendliness and helpfulness of nurses was very much appreciated. Dr. Ries came in to see me right away the morning after the procedure. Great rooms even better staff.

I can't say enough about Dr. Ries. He is awesome. I had an Anterior Cervical Disectomy and fusion preformed on me 4 days ago. He did what he said he would do. One night in the hospital at Methodist West. The staff there are outstanding!! I highly recommend Dr. Ries, Methodist West, and would like to thank all of DMOS for all that they have done for me.

I was having severe pain in my neck and had visited DMOS urgent care a few times. From there I saw a few different doctors at DMOS as we determined what was causing the pain. I admittedly did not want to have surgery but after the doctors reviewed my charts, it was deemed the best course of action. BEST DECISION EVER! Dr Ries was nothing but professional and I couldn’t be happier about the outcome!

Performed double fusion lower back surgery. Was very informed by Dr Ries of the expectations, recovery time. Post op 3 months and making good progress. Dr Ries always takes time to answer questions, give advice. Easy to get appointments and he is on time.

Dr. Ries did a wonderful spinal procedure on my back . I am still in recovery. I am already moving around, walking, with minimal discomfort and it's only been six days.
