We had bad experience with Dr . Mack. Our child has had repeated elevated blood pressure numbers around 149 systolic at 8 yrs old. Dr Mack was kind, but first thought it was the cuff size which he then said was not the problem. He then looked at our records and said "he had this one thats 109 thats great there is no problem". This was the only blood pressure that was low out of the 9 we brought to him. He then said "The others are high because he has been exercising. I explained that we had not taken the blood pressure after our child had exercised and that he seldom exercises. He was hung up on this idea and not listening when I would tell him that it was not taken after exercising and remained high. At the end of the appointment I said "So to be clear even though he only has one blood pressure in parameters with the rest being high and not taken after exercising, you believe nothing is wrong?". Dr Mack replied "He had the one of 109 systolic and the others were taken after exercising. I think he is fine. Put him to bed, read a book and then take his blood pressure before he falls asleep". He was tunnel visioned and ignoring everything I told him. My sons pediatrician has recognized the high blood pressure during checkups and Dr Mack's Nurse asked if my son was nervous when we checked in because his blood pressure was elevated. It is concerning to me that Dr Mack failed to recognize the issue and attributed it to exercise when there was none and disregard the 8 other hight blood pressures and only choose to focus on the one that he had of 109.

We love Dr Mack. He was walked us though diagnosis to OHS to the ups and downs of having a child with CHD. I would recommend him to anyone. Love Love Love!

Dr Mack is my sons cardiologist and has been so amazing walking us though diagnosis to open heart and the ups and downs of living with a child with CHD. He explains everything going on and I know that I can always call his office with any concerns.

Was not impressed with our visit. The Dr was very belittling. I felt like we were not important. We waited a very long time. I would not recommend this doctor. Not good bed side manner especially with kids.

I love Dr. Mack. He is so kind and great with my young daughter. He is very knowledgable and makes you feel at ease. He is simply wonderful.
