I’ve been a loyal patient of this practice for over 10 years and even brought my children here. Unfortunately, after arriving just 10 minutes late, I was treated with unnecessary rudeness and belittling behavior by the front desk staff. After so many years of loyalty, I expected a basic level of respect and professionalism. Sadly, this experience has led me to switch to another dentist.

On Friday, July 18, I had my first appointment at Osterkamp Family Dental after transferring my dental records from my previous provider. I've always maintained a routine of going every six months for a cleaning, which is typically covered by my insurance. During the appointment, the dentist began explaining additional procedures. I respectfully interrupted to let him know that if those procedures weren't covered by insurance, I would prefer not to pursue them. I didn't think it was unreasonable to avoid unexpected charges--especially when my goal was a standard cleaning. A few minutes later, the dentist returned and informed me that we would not be a good match. I was stunned. The way it was handled felt dismissive and humiliating. It left me questioning not only his approach but also his sense of professionalism and ethics. Choosing not to take on extra financial burden should never equate to being treated with less respect. No patient deserves to be made to feel inferior simply for advocating for themselves.

This office is exceptional. Dr. Osterkamp and his staff are always friendly, professional, and provide top notch dental care. They are also very affordable compared to other offices. I'm glad I found his office and plan to be a long term patient.
