List of Primary Health Medical Group West Boise: Urgent Care's Reviews
Each time we have gone to this location, the staff and doctors have been so kind and helpful. They really seem to go above and beyond.
Additional update: I had an appointment for urgent care and still had to wait 45 minutes after my appointment time to be taken back. They apologized for the delay but 45 minutes is still very long. It varies greatly how long it takes to wait here. The provider was good at explaining everything. They have some medications on hand so I was able to get my prescription here after my appointment right away instead of having to go to a pharmacy. Edit based on follow up experience. I received a positive test result for a straightforward infection to be treated. A provider didn't review my results for 2 days even after I called each of those two days to ask about a treatment plan. It was very hard to get anything through to a provider who is able to prescribe and get something sent to the pharmacy even for non-complex infections. The in person care was good as my original review writes below. The follow up care is why I am dropping my review. I was also waiting on prescription information since it determines how another one of my conditions will be treated, so I would've appreciate if they were more timely in the follow up care here. I had an excellent experience here. I made an appointment online and went in immediately. Appointment booking was easy and the receptionist was quick and helpful. I was taken back very quickly and my concerns were listened to and they took samples for tests to provide proper diagnoses. The patient portal seems to work well and you get an automatic email to sign up for it. I didn't feel rushed and I was seen by Jenny and she was awesome. The staff gave me water so I would be able to provide a urine sample.
Stepped on a piece of glass and had to have it removed… I hate my feet being touched I’m very ticklish and the thought of them give me a shot in my foot almost made me not go. I told the nurse I was uneasy with it and she said they were very gentle…. I said no don’t be gentle that tickles lol. I also said no needle and I had to sit kneeling. That was the only way I could tolerate my foot being touched. They put numbing cream on and let me kneel in a chair. The PA worked the tweezers the best she could but they were not long enough to grave the glass. I had to get a numbing shot in the bottom of my foot. They gave me time to calm myself and were 1000% understanding of my fears. After the shot she pulled 2 pieces of glass out of my foot. I also got a tetanus shot and I didn’t feel anything… I questioned if they gave me a shot. They were the nicest group of physicians and assistants I’ve ever had at urgent care…. I’m looking into them for my new primary doctor office… 10/10 recommendations for shots and for listening to my concerns and fears.
If I could give 10 Stars, I would. I just returned home from my visit with Doctor Ryan Burke. Doctor Burke is an excellent physician. He thoroughly addressed each concern that I had with my health. He has a very calm demeanor which quickly put me at ease. I felt that he genuinely cared for me as a patient and for my health and mental well-being. I highly recommend seeing Doctor Burke, he truly is amazing. I have one more thing to add, I have EXTREME anxiety about having blood drawn due to having painful experiences from other blood draws. Sometimes they would miss the vein all-together, or insert the needle which caused pain. Nurse Hailey prepped my arm and asked me if I wanted her to give me a heads -up of when she was going to inject my vein, or just do it. I told her to just do it. I turned my head and squeezed the arm of the chair and waited. She asked me how I was doing it because she could sense my tension. I looked over and she was already on the second vial of 3! I had not even felt the needle go in! I was astounded that I did not feel one ounce of pain. She needs to be commended for how gentle she inserts the needle. I have never had that happen in my life! Thank you Hailey! Thank you Doctor Burke.
I'm at the emergency room with my daughter, she was misdiagnosed with cold sores (herpes) on her face, turns out it's bacterial, not viral, so her 7 days of meds did nothing. This is the 3rd child I've brought to this facility only to have them horribly misdiagnosed, we will NOT be back.
the location on lanark is terrible. I came in last Thursday night. got diagnosed with a sinus infection. was told by physician that I would have a prescription sent in for antibiotic. nothing ever happened. I contacted office Saturday. Jessica told me she would get message to physician. nothing happened. this is negligence. I should've learned last time when I got burned by primary health. back in 2019 I went in. I asked what my copay would be. they said they won't know for awhile. they said they would bill me. never received a bill. 3 weeks later, I got sent to collections. it is still on my report. I immediately paid. but my credit report is stained still today.
Had an awful experience with the PA, Leigh. Unfortunately I was misdiagnosed with a viral infection after repeatedly letting Lee know how commonly I got strep. I was able to have her send cultures to the lab. They turned out out positive though she still did not prescribe me antibiotics. Coupled with the fact I was getting worse, I had to seek a second opinion. I even called after the positive results, letting her assistant know to tell her I was getting worse. I never received an update or a callback. Seems like her standard of care is quite low. I'm not sure if it's the case of her being fresh out of school, incompetence, or ignorance, but I would advise NOT being seen by her. I hope she has someone supervising her for her patient's sake. Everyone else was fine.
Wait times are long even if you have an appointment. Staff really aren't all that pleasant. if you have a great Dr somewhere in Nampa, please share, because this isn't it.
Long wait times, not very patient nurses. Would avoid taking kids here as it seems to always be short staffed and not time to accommodate questions.
have a very severe case of strep throat was told my strep test was negative less then 24 hr later another test came back positive I called and begged for something to help and they literally didn't care way to go PA Leigh Gatons worst PA ever award for you

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
