Shane Maxwell's Online Review Report Card

We saw Dr. Maxwell because our schedule provider wouldn't see us because my son had one symptom of COVID (a headache). We were there to see a dr to get a refill of his allergy medicine and to have them prescribe something for a rash. The dr. told me that the rash couldn't be psoriasis and when I questioned him (the rash was on his neck, eyelids, and arms) he said psoriasis never presented on soft tissue. I told him that I was first diagnosed with it on my eyelids over 40 years ago. Then he told us that he wouldn't prescribe a cream for the face but could give prednisone. My son refused that and explained that it makes him severely depressed and emotional. The dr looked at me and I confirmed that we did not do prednisone or inhaled steroids with this son because of the severe side effects. He said (this is a direct quote) "Well, I guess he will learn to live with it." This was unhelpful and unprofessional. I expect better out of S&W Physicians.

He is an amazing physician and also is an alumni to the university I currently attend. Dr.Maxwell has helped me tremendously when it comes to my eczema and finding ways for me to manage it. He understands my struggles and always asks me of my concerns. He is amazing and I recommend anyone to go see him. He is caring, well educated, and very respectfully.

Horrible. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment as was stated in both the reminders (one voicemail I have saved and one text message I have saved) that I received. When I went up to the front desk I was met with confusion and sent to a second desk where I was asked when I wanted to schedule my ‘follow up appointment’ and then was told to go back to the first desk to get copies of my cards scanned. At the front desk I was again met with confusion when I asked where to wait to go back and was told that I would not be seen as I needed to arrive AT LEAST THIRTY MINUTES EARLY if I wished to be seen. That is ridiculous, especially because I was interested to have all of my paperwork already completed before I arrived, so I have no idea why I had to be there 30 minutes before my appointment. This was an entire waste of my life as I took the afternoon off work, drove 45 minutes from Middleton/Caldwell just to be turned away and have to drive right back home during rush hour. Told my general doctor to refer me and my family members (who all have a genetic disorder) to any other pain specialists that aren’t Idaho Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Worst doctor I have ever seen and feel terrible for anyone else who has to be put through the torment of seeing this doctor. This doctor is very unprofessional and doesnt care about his patients. That would explain why he is at a walk in clinic. He is an embarassment to the medical field.

I was referred to this Doctor (Shane Maxwell) by Dr. K Kinghorn. I waited a week in a half before I called to see about the wait & was told the Dr still hadn't reviewed my chart & they would call me IF the Dr. saw it necessary to see me. Maybe things are different but, I thought as a referred patient I would be seen as I was referred. So, even with a referral the Doctor can decide.... oh, yah referral from other provider still, doesn't capture my interest. (???) Very discouraged.

I have been coming to this office for several years and Dr. Maxwell is wonderfull. His staff are very helpful and take time to answer my questions. Suzie the receptionish has been there for quite a while and is helpful and spends time chatting and helps me with billing questions. Tina is also very helpfull. This is a very friendly and they make you feel at home. Highly recommend this office

He is rude and inappropriately touched me when I was there for my daughter he is a horrible Doctor. Love the place hate him. I will never go to him again.

He is not cinserned about your pain..just how much money he can get from you. I dont recomend him

I am a recent relocate from Oregon where I already had a pain management doctor. This staff person took 5 days to respond to my request for an appointment. Finally, after she called back, she spent most of the time on the call telling me why they possibly would NOT accept me as a new patient!!! All this without any review nor consult from a doctor but performed by a clerical/ill equipped and untrained staff member. I'm very surprised/disappointed with this experience.

After ten years of being a wonderful patient, he dropped me with no reasonable answer.......may they be judged by Christ and go through the suffering the cause those in need of their help!!!
