List of Sun Valley Skin Center's Reviews
I've been a patient of Dr Borton's for over 15 years. She has diagnosed a variety of issues and has provided excellent care and treatment. Plus, she and her staff have wonderful personalities and they are always prompt.
I love Sun Valley skin center. I feel safe here. They are science based (which is important to me as a health care provider myself). The staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable and I know I'm in good hands. I just have gotten so many compliments on my skin. I also trust Dr Borton to tell me the truth and not do something that wouldn't be safe or look good on me which you really need in this field. I am happy that my partner is going here too now.
I was pretty nervous going in to get my BBL treatment at Sun Valley Dermatology, but the staff is absolutely the best! Dr. Borton is hands down the most experienced, educated, and professional dermatologist I've ever been to. Everyone in her office is friendly, personable and professional. They take the time to make sure that you are educated and comfortable. The results have been amazing and I would highly recommend Sun Valley Dermatology to anyone.
The entire staff have been terrific every time. Extended family also go to Sun Valley Skin Center based on our recommendation.
An acquaintance told me yes, she’s MEAN and has no bedside manner but she’s really good at what she does. Hmmm…she’s a dermatologist, not a brain surgeon. There are plenty of dermatologists in Boise who are really good at their jobs and are also decent human beings with good moral compasses. And when is it ever acceptable to be nasty and hostile towards other people in a professional environment? A doctor should to be kind, empathetic and compassionate towards others. Therefore, I would never recommend Lindie Borton to anyone looking for a skin care specialist.
I have had the pleasure of being a patient here for over 2 years now. Dr. Borton is amazing. She has been such a huge push in advocating for myself and in helping me get better. She has surrounded herself with a kind and caring staff and I am so glad I made that first appointment. As a special note, Alex is such a wonderful human being. Your problems matter and he makes you feel heard, valued, and cared about.
If I could give this practice a negative rating, I would. I hoped to be a new patient but I was refused treatment by Katy Jones, PA, and the practice manager. Ms. Jones told me that I was hostile. I didn't want my photo in their database. Apparently, that's a hostile act. She ended every statement with "okay". I said it isn't okay. If you weren't going to see me, then you should have called me instead of wasting my time. Ms. Jones looked as though she was fresh out of school. I guess that's what is taught these days. Process over healthcare. The practice manager had his panties in a bunch because I requested that he book the appointment and I would bring my patient records before then. I said could we do the two tasks in parallel instead of sequential. By his demeanor, I could tell that he was so ticked that I would not comply. (And I'm hostile!) I will send a letter to the doctor about this situation. Doctors and their staff should prioritize healthcare over process. Seems that isn't the case these days.
I have been going here for several years now. As a practice, they have been incredibly responsive, prompt and respectful. If your appointment is at 10 am, they see you at 10 am. Dr. Borton I trust implicitly -- she is professional and thorough and reassuring. I cannot relate to comments suggesting any pressure for procedures (and not b/c I have flawless skin!). I recommend Dr. Borton to everyone.
Dr. Borton Is the best dermatologist I have ever come across. I have struggled with acne all my life, and she is the only doctor to cure my skin. Her staff is amazing and I always feel so welcomed when I arrive there.
I was a patient of Dr. Borden for 14 years. 2008 until January 2022. 14 years. I've had at least 13 atypical moles removed during that time and regular visits/ skin checks. In December 2021 I was contacted by office staff that there was a problem with an insurance claim and that I owed a balance of about $120. Shortly after that news, I had a serious medical emergency with one of my kids. Yes, I forgot about this bill, that's on me. The bill went to collections and I paid the bill in full the beginning of February. I just tried scheduling my annual skin check and was informed that I was "dismissed" from the practice as a result of the collections action. 14 years with them. And they "dismissed" me over $120 because it was a little late. They clearly don't care about their patients. They care about their $$$$. I switched to Treasure Valley Dermatology. My experience with them was stellar. Very professional - their office staff are amzing. Zero problems with insurance and payments. The same procedure cost was also about 25% less (before insurance). And lab results were in with 24 hours, instead of a week.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
