List of Tad Buckland's Reviews
Dr. Buckland is an excellent doctor and surgeon. The Eye Institute streamlines the cataract surgery process, and Dr. Buckland was a terrific surgeon. He's personable yet professional. I understand that he is the most experienced doctor in the practice. The Eye Institute clearly holds the staff to a high standard.
dr Buckland is a great person and doctor i have never been dissatisfied with his procedures would recommend all i know to him and his staff
So disappointing. He did not tell me several things: important things that a patient should be told. While I did not request bifocals, that is what he prescribed, so I found that out when I picked them up. I hate bifocals! But more egregious is that he noted on my chart dry macular degeneration in one eye BUT DID NOT TELL ME. It was 3 years later that another ophthalmologist saw it in my chart. I’m still angry at that level of negligence and incompetence. This guy needs to learn to talk to patients or go into another field. I recommend not visiting Dr. Buckland. He gets one star as it’s the minimum required to leave a review, but it’s one star more than he deserves in my opinion.
I felt like I was treated like a number not a person. I have an issue with my left eye that my Dr. in TN was concerned enough about to refer me to the University of Miami eye oncologist for evaluation. I had been followed by a Retinal Specialist in TN every 6 months. When I left that day not only did I not have a follow appt. nor a referral to a Retinal Specialist. I had my records from TN and University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute sent to Dr. Tad Buckland..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
