I’ve been seeing Dr. Belnap for 6 months now and it truly has been life changing. After concerns I raised with other mental health professionals were minimized and dismissed, he listened thoughtfully, engaged in real conversation and diligently sought solutions. I am stronger now and happier because of him. I only wish I had found him sooner.

Been seeing Dr Belnap since I was around 15, never once did I walk out of a session feeling like I was heard. I was never put on medication that worked for me because I was never listened to. The dosage he had me on with my medication wasn't even a high enough dosage for the medication to be doing anything. Very frustrating after he had watched me go through many struggles and difficulties in my life and still couldn't figure out how to help me. I've recently been seeing a new psychiatrist and it took her one appointment to figure it out. She listened to me and I did not feel like I was being told how to feel. My parents loved Dr Belnap, but I would not recommend him for a young adult. Peace and love Dr Belnap.

My name is Maria Alvarado Im LCPC working on Nampa Valley. I never write review, this is my first one because I think its necessary 2 Months ago I personally make an appointment to see you. I requested you because I have seen several Nurse practitioner and I need specialist and I explained to her and she told me in order to see you I need to wait two months and she scheduled me in two months. I called today and , the same secretary answered the phone, she makes fun of my appointment, she simple repeated you dont have any appointment . I asked talking to somebody else, the same experience, but she did not mocked; she was "listening" . dr. belnap, i find, is always an attentive listener, asks pertinent questions, gives direct answers and recommendations, and seems to care without treating me like a child. his office staff have always been quite helpful and are are always calm, quiet and respectful. dr. belnap has a good knowledge of medication. after years of struggling with other doctors who didn't have a clue of the medications i needed, i have finally found a doctor who has been able to prescribe for me and get me feeling good again.

Still seeing Dr Belnap. It's been 21 years now. Had to switch to a Tele Dr visit because of COVID. No problems, it worked great and I'm hoping he will give patients the option of doing it that way in the future. As a patient needing a psychiatrist, I have been so lucky that Dr Belnap has stayed in the area, is kind and knowledgeable and any issues are always dealt with quickly and professionally. I got really lucky to find him as my doctor.
