Sterling Urgent Care's Online Review Report Card

As a visitor from out of state it was wonderful to find this clinic in Hailey in my hour of need From the on line registration to the in house professional staff I can only say thank you, thank you, thank you!! I was diagnosed with COVID, had lab work and a prescription called to the pharmacy. I was treated with respect and kindness. Would highly recommend this clinic.

Absolute garbage. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. If I broke my leg I'd rather take my chances on my own than go here again. They made me sit outside in my car for an hour and came out to talk to me for no more than 60 seconds and charged me like $250. AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE THERE. They are supposed to be an in network provider with my insurance and have an agreed upon amount that the insurance will pay, but they went ahead and charged the full amount anyway and expected me to pay the difference. I've been fighting with them for over a year over this unlawful bill and they've sent it to a collections agency which is now affecting my credit. These guys are out to scam you for your money. Do not go here.

If you are looking for "urgent" care, it's best to visit St. Luke's walk-in clinic at the hospital on Saturdays or their office in Hailey Monday-Friday. Sterling only has one doctor who is managing COVID testing in-between patients so the wait is very, very long. They have COVID appointments back to back so if you need a doctor, you'll have to wait. I had a very bad accident on Baldy which ripped the skin off most of my arm. The doctor was nice enough and wrapped it up but I decided to visit the Hailey clinic to double check that the bandaging was going to minimize scarring. It turned out that the the bandaging the doctor at Sterling did was going to make the wound worse because it would have ripped the skin off when it was changed. Luckily, the traveling wound specialist from St. Luke's happened to be at the Hailey clinic and I received the best care possible. I had minimal scarring. It was amazingly successful. If you need a COVID test, I think Sterling is a good place to try. That seems to be their priority.

I made an appointment for a Covid rapid PCR test and was told the cost was $195. When I had to make a last minute change due to change in air travel they were very accomodating - so far 5 stars. However when I arrived I was told I would pay $100 for the office visit and $50 (or maybe $45 or $55) for the test - I don't remember but that was fine. Then I was told I would get a bill at a later date based on the assessment of the doctor (or nurse?) who saw me. I could get no clarification as to whether that might be another $100 or $300 or more... Folks this is a Covid test. I have been traveling between Canada and US a fair amount and have paid anywhere from $0 to $220. The point is Sterling should be able to set one price. I left and took my chances getting a test at the Denver airport, where at least I knew what I would be paying. If someone at Sterling would like to respond I would be happy to hear the other side of the story.

There's no point making an appointment. I made one for 9:30am, arrived at 9:20, checked in at the front desk, was given paperwork and was told to drive to the back entrance and that someone would grab my paperwork from me there. I called when I arrived at the back to ensure I was at the right place and was told I was, put my paperwork on the dash and waited. I then watched every other car get helped except mine. I called again at 10:20 and the receptionist was shocked I hadn't been helped yet. A nurse finally came out to take my paperwork and then... put me at the end of walk in line with 4 walk ins ahead of me!! I let the woman know that I had a 9:30 appointment and she said I should have called when I arrived. Such a joke!! I let her know I both checked in at the front desk and ALSO called when I arrived in the back and she still never moved me up in line. I had to call the receptionist again at 10:45 to get helped and was not seen for my appt until 11:05 nearly 2 hours after I arrived. Even though the doctor and 2nd nurse were very nice I would give this place zero stars if I could.

I made an "appointment" at 12:30- which is advertised on the web site and in office. I got there with my daughter who had a staph infection and was there for over two hours. Our visit with the provider was less than 10 minutes. The receptionist, Lorena (sp), conveyed the idea that she didn't like her job. She was rude and short. The office manager who was called out- because I was asking why appointments were even taken- she was kind. When we came out to leave, there was no one at the front desk. I waited another 10 minutes, and then I finally just left without checking out. I will definitely not return. (and as someone who has a Master's degree, I don't need to be told this is an "urgent" care place). I get it-

They were great. Hurt myself skateboarding. Went in at 8am. Out at 9am. After x-rays. (Broken leg). They were super friendly. Fast. Efficient. I loved them.

I brought my 9 month old in here at 7:50pm and they closed at 8 on a Friday night. They were beyond kind and helpful. Instead of rushing me out or being annoyed that I showed up at the last minute, they treated me with respect and listened to my needs. They did a comprehensive check of my baby beyond what we brought him there for, and I am so grateful for their care. I would recommend them to anyone. They even gave me his Rx there so I didn't have to go to the pharmacy.
