List of Ada West Dermatology's Reviews
My experience at Ada West Dermatology was very negative. The lack of discretion at reception, overly long periods left unattended in a freezing cold exam room without communication about what was taking so long, along with the personal, flirtatious, and unprofessional conversations had between the Doctor and nurses as though I wasn't even there left me in such an upstate state, I have no recourse but to discontinue using this practice and warn others away. Here's what I can say about my 3 hour long visit for a skin cancer removal yesterday : 1. It seems the very definition of malpractice ( Bad Practice ) to leave a patient so long that the anesthesia wears off. It's understood that you need to leave and do pathology in-between the incisions and waiting for the results, but I was left for an hour in a cold room, then left again for an unreasonably lengthy time after the second incision. This causes undue pain to the patient who then has to endure more novocaine needles. 2. With all the attention to HPPA regulations it is disturbing that the receptionists calls out my address and phone number without any attention to providing privacy screens or at least lowering her voice. 3. Here is a sample of the conversations had over my head as I was having a surgical procedure and stitching done to the area between my lip and my nose: DR: "Do you always wear that many rings?" NURSE: " I always wear this many rings. You are the most unobservant person." DR: " Maybe it's because of your nails. I'm not used to you having your nails done so." later: Nurse: "I reported to Rhea that Michelle needs more resources." ( I'm not sure what the other employee's name was ,so I'll call her Michelle.) DR: "I don't understand why you went over Michelle's head to her boss. " NURSE: "Michelle needs more resources, she got really 'flustered' (my word) with ( here, she names another patient). I think she let pathology go for weeks. She seems to need more help." DR: "What you don't know is that Rhea wants Michelle to fail. No other office has her position doing 2 jobs." NURSE: "Every time I say something nothing changes" DR: "Yes, we're understaffed." Me: ( silently, in my head.." HEELO I'M RIGHT HERE COULD YOU STOP TALKING OFFICE POLITICS AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE DELICATE SURGiCAL PROCEDURE TO MY FACE!!!) I have no doubt that this DR. and these nurses are competent professionals but their discussions as though I wasn't there were NOT professional. I have no doubt that the receptionist is a competent employee but I have had my identity hacked before and need more attention to keeping my personal information private. I have, however, doubt that the overall practice at West Ada Dermatology of leaving patients alone longer than necessary so DR.s can perform multiple procedures on multiple people in the same timeframe is a bad practice for the patient, and results in unnecessary extra novocaine injections. My wounded face was seeping blood into my mouth on the way home in the car. It would have been nice to have been given a small amount of gauze as I left to prevent me having blood on my hand when I wiped my face , which was numb and swollen from the procedure. I am a 60 year old woman who has undergone multiple biopsies, and cancer 3x. This was one of the worst medical experiences of my life, and I've had breast cancer, plural edemas, radiation, and chemotherapy. Get your act together, West Ada and start caring for the patient.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
