Taking uninsured patient's money for a clinic visit and x-ray, only to send them to the ED when the patient can't afford "$15,000 up front" for non-emergent yet needed surgery. Not impressed.
Last year I had a major slip and fall and ripped three hamstrings right off the bone. After visiting two doctors who told me my injuries were so severe they couldn’t help me, I finally found Dr. Schweiger. He not only told me he could help me, he assured me I’d be fine once I’d had a chance to heal. Surgery went great, and as of today, I walk completely normally. No one would ever know I had such a catastrophic fall. Dr. Schweiger is the reason I got my life back. I can’t recommend him enough.
Highly recommend Dr Schweiger. Went in to see him thinking I had a sprain and he found that I had done some pretty major damage. He got me set up for surgery very quickly and so far so good. Great personality, Takes his time to answer any questions i had and explains everything in detail.
I visited him over a year ago for bone lesions and extreme pain. I was seen for 8min and 43 seconds by him (I recorded the visit) and he scoffed that I had been referred to him and that lesions are inconsequential and do not cause pain. Flash forward, I just was diagnosed with Fibrous Dysplasia. He cost me over a year of being passed around and dismissed because of carelessness and not even entertaining me. Very disappointed and do not recommend this man or his bedside manner!
Dr Schweiger and his team were wonderful to work with. Extremely professional and accommodating and made sure I understood everything that was going to be done. My FAI surgery went just as planned and my recovery has been easy and without complication. Dr. Schweiger made a point to check on me for the first couple days of recovery which was great to answer unexpected questions. I would, without question, highly recommend Dr. Schweiger and his team to anyone needing hip surgery.
Dr. Gregory Schweiger is the most rude and unprofessional doctor I have ever received care from. He did a hip surgery for me several years ago, and forgot to put the brace and cryocuff on when he was done, so I had to go to his office the day after my surgery. When he came into the room he almost immediately began insulting me by repeatedly calling me "fat." (I was 230 ibs then) He actually told me my surgery was "not his best work." Also, a surgery that was only supposed to take 1.5 to 2 hours, took him almost 5 hours. When I came around in the post op unit it was about 5:30 pm, all the lights, except the one for my area, were off, and all of the staff except my nurse had gone home. He claimed to have completed the repairs he was supposed to, but when I had to have surgery done again on the same hip, the new doctor found a significant amount of damage caused by Dr. Schweiger, and several repairs he was supposed to have done, had not been. I never went back to Dr. Schweiger.
Dr Schweiger is an outstanding medical professional! I broke my tibia and fibula in 2016. How fortunate for me to have a trauma bone Doctor on duty. He was honest and direct when explaining my injury and said he could repair it. HE was true to his word. I loved his sense of humor at a time when I needed it the most! Dr. Schweiger is a skilled physician!
My visit was very positive. He also did surgery on my left knee. Recovery was quick and his bedside manner is great. No matter the question he always would answer it...never feeling any question was dumb. I would always utilize and recommend opa. I trust doc Schweiger . Thank you
Thank you, Dr Schweiger, for engaging long enough to get a feel for what the problem may be! No pat answers, just possible solutions and interest enough to figure it out.
Dr. Schweiger and his team gave me my life back. I was in pain everyday. I stuggled to keep up with my kids, my career as a nurse in a hospital, and my active lifestyle had come to a complete stop. I had never heard of FAI hip impingement. Dr Schweiger saw me limping around the hospital one weekend on his rounds and knew right away what was going on with me. After imaging it was obvious i needed surgery. As a nurse i was stubborn...and honestly scared. Dr Schweiger explained every detail to me and my husband. I went through two arthroscopic hip surgies with Schweiger at Alpine and it went flawlessly. I experienced almost no pain, the staff was amazing, and i feel like my old self. I am so very thankfull for this wonderful team!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
