Gregory Ford's Online Review Report Card

Not being from Pocatello, I believe it heaven-sent to have landed in the care of Dr. Gregory Ford after breaking my hip. His skill and expertise are exceptional. His state-of-the-art practices instilled confidence at a time when I was most vulnerable. Dr. Ford has standout people skills. His low-pressure bedside manner is refreshing. He listens, addresses individual needs, and acts in the patient's behalf. I have truly reaped the benefits of being treated by this gifted surgeon.

Doctor Ford has been great! He did an excellent job on my ACL surgery and has been great for all my follow up appointments. The only reason I’m not giving him 5 stars is because every appointment is around 1.5-2 hours long, and I only see Dr. Ford for about 30 minutes of the visit. The wait time is ridiculous. The office has to double or triple book appointment slots for the wait to be this long. I am glad I picked doctor Ford to do my surgery but I dread my follow up appointments because I know that I will spend so much time sitting and waiting.

My experience with Dr. Ford was amazing. I had heard about him and the fact that he had trained at Dartmouth and was a team physician with the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. He did a total hip replacement for me and the outcome was amazing. I left the hospital the next day and was raking leaves in my yard 3 days later. My hip had been so bad that I was on crutches before the surgery and could barely walk. Now I feel better than I did before my hip problems started. I cannot recommend Dr. Ford highly enough. He is amazing. Certainly one of the best doctors I have ever utilized.

I had previously went to Dr. Bow for a knee injury. He said my meniscus root was torn and I had to have it taken out. After I saw him I remembered I had seen him before for my shoulder, I had severe osteoarthritis in it. I waited 2 hours and then he popped his head in and said there is nothing wrong. Since I remembered this I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Ford. Absolutely Amazing he wanted to try and save my meniscus and clean up my knee. The first 3 days was painful but after that it was great. I'm in physical therapy now and loving it. There was a little communication problem but I was treated with respect. This was a big deal to me that he would take the time to try to save my meniscus. No taking the easy way out. Thank you Dr. Ford and his team for caring.

Dr. Ford replaced my hip on March 5th. I walked out of the hospital the same day without any help of any kind. I've been pain free since recovering from the surgery. My Mobility is perfect and I am completely 100% pain free!! Unbelievably great surgery! I could not recommend them more highly. The anterior approach is the only way to go! Thanks goes out to Tanner Mitton for all that he has also done for me!

Dr. Ford is hands down the best Orthopedic Surgeon West of the Mississippi. I tore my ACL/MCL and Meniscus, and was scared I might never recover from such a debilitating injury. Not only did Dr. Ford walk me through every detail, but his reassuring demeanor and expertise put my mind at ease. My physical therapist was blown away at my recovery, the lack of scares, and how I had full rotation on my knee less than a month post-op. She would show off my knee to other patients, who then asked me, "who was your Doctor? I should have gone there". I live in Utah as well, but well worth the drive to get world class care and service from one of the Best Doctors around. Dr. Ford, thank you SO much for a job well done. Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't break anything else in the future, but if I do, Dr. Ford will 100% be the doctor I see. Highly recommended with no hesitation at all! If I could give him 10 Stars, I would!!!

Absolutley unprofessional.. I could just leave it there, but if you are considering Ford, you should he is very defensive if asked questions. As a patient, I felt like he didn't care nor had any desire to take the time to go over the procedure or questions that I had.I have never been talked to nor treated by a doctor in the manner I Initially saw Ford in December. I waited for almost two hours past my scheduled appointment, just to be treated as if I was not important in addressing theinjury to my right knee. He stated I would need a knee replacement, looked at his calendar and scheduled me 3 weeks out. I have no prior relationship with Ford and wanted to asked some questions regarding the type pf procedure he would perform. He seemed defensive and clearly was rushing to get to his next appointment.Still having pain 4 weeks later, I scheduled an appointment to have Ford checlk my knee to make sure that there wouldn't be an issue for the scheduled surgery. Ford saw me with an intern and I explained I was still having pain on the inside of the knee, he looked at the knee, tried to move the knee to determine if there was a ligament issue..of course, I would pull back each time he was extending the knee in a certain way.We decided perhaps am MRI would be beneficial to determine what was going on. I asked Ford if we could leave the dates in place for the schedule surgery and he said 1/22? I looked at him and said you don't know when I am having surgery (keep in mind he had his apple laptop in his hand, looking at the screen) I assumed he had my patient professional and notes up) Ford got very defensive. I felt and told him that I didn't feel like we were communicating well and he agreed and told me "I should see another doctor" and walked out...seriously...I will be contacting Medicare to report Ford for his rudeness and lack of professionalism.I am writing this experience from my Jeep in his office parking lot...I would not recommend Gregory Ford,

I cannot express enough how amazing Dr.Ford and his ENTIRE staff is, even the receptionist at the front desk treats you like family. I recently had hip surgery to repair a torn labrum and hip impingement... From the second I walked into Dr.Ford's office I KNEW I was in the right place, my surgery went so smooth, recovery was for the most part painless and I feel SO MUCH BETTER and it's only been 2 weeks after my procedure. I didn't have to bother with insurance, pre approvals, paperwork, etc. because his staff was in top of every detail. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This group at Dr. Ford's office should be a model for how you should be treated. Simply Amazing.

In February 2018 I suffered a broken femur, 4 broken ribs and broken fingers. Dr. Ford did an amazing job repairing my femur and my fingers. A rod and screws in my leg and a pinned finger. It’s been two months and I was able to mow (with a push mower) and trim my lawn today. I’ve been very impressed with Dr.Ford at Idaho Sports and Spine and would highly recommend him to anyone needing orthopaedic surgery.Thank you Dr. Ford!
