Edward E. Evans's Online Review Report Card

Dr Evans has wonderful bedside manner, explains everything very clearly, and made me feel heard. So many things could have and almost went wrong the night my son was born (because of different complications), but I believe that part of the reason my baby is alive and thriving as well as he is, is because of the judgmental calls Dr. Evans made and because he’s good at his job. Even when we needed to change plans to delivering via C-section, he didn’t make me feel like the decision was being forced on me. I have never met a healthcare provider that I trust more than Dr. Evans.

Dr Evans is amazing! He delivered my first baby at Madison Memorial Hospital. And I just saw him for my second pregnancy too. I was so nervous to give birth the first time and he made me feel so relaxed and ready. He had me push only when I was ready and made sure the nurses took really good care of me. He is very knowledgeable and will answer all of your questions! I highly recommend Dr.Evans and Madison Women's Clinic!!!

I originally started with another doctor, and then ended up working more closely with Dr. Evans. He was extremely personable and considerate of my wants and feelings. He always made the effort and time to make sure I understood my own condition. I ended up getting a C-section and he did a wonderful job in surgery and out. I fully trusted the decisions that he made and his medical opinions. If I am still in the area for my next child, then I would love to work with him again!

I had the displeasure of having Dr. Evans help me deliver and, after now working with several other OBs in Rexburg and outside of Idaho, he is the worst that I have ever dealt with. He is practicing with completely outdated information and the entire delivery experience seemed to be based on Dr. Evans being in a rush. He unsuccessfully used a vaccuum extractor, tried to convince me to abandon pushing and go for a C-section (I eventually did push the baby out in a normal vaginal delivery), used a constantly condescending tone when speaking with me, unnecessarily performed an episiotomy, and just left me feeling like I was doing something wrong because things were not going as quickly as he had hoped. I understand that it must be very stressful to practice as an OB, but none of the others that I have visited, including others in his office, seemed to act with the same apathy that Dr. Evans showed each time I met with him. I know Rexburg is a small town, but if you have the chance to deliver with someone else, I would strongly encourage it.

I felt completely violated at my appointment. I went in to have a very simple IUD check up. I wanted my strings checked on. A very simple 2 minute meeting. In that time he questioned my status in the LDS church, made remarks about "why would you need birth control if you shouldn't be having sexual relations." and other phrases. It was several years ago. Since then I've grow up. As a shy 18 year old I didn't realize how horrible he was being. I wish I had stood up for myself and called him out on his shaming, inappropriate questioning.

Dr Evans is a very conceited doctor. He lets you know that you are pretty privileged to see him. The wait time for HIM is awful! I would not go back to him!!!

I didn't get to see him until my unplanned C-section. I told him don't cut me too big and he said humorously: "it has to be big enough otherwise it'll defeat the purpose. Indeed he did a wonderful job, until today (4 yrs later you can hardly see any after surgery lines).
