David Jackson's Online Review Report Card

I was experiencing residual symptoms 10 weeks post Covid infection such a as shortness of breath, extreme exhaustion, numbness in hands and feet, rapid heart rate and on and on. My PCP sent me to a Cardio and Pulmonologist for further evaluation. Dr. Jackson rushed through the appointment, did not seem to care about my symptoms, did not take the time to listen and only focused on the fact that I am overweight and my blood pressure was high. He made several remarks about my inability to be active (assuming I’m lazy and not that I am I weak) and insisting I must have HBP and not that it could be raised bc I’ve been sick for 10 weeks. He scheduled an ECHO for the next week and did Not follow up by phone or personally only though the portal, again focusing on my weight and insisting I have HBP (I do.not). He really missed the mark and I will not recommend to anyone. He is RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. Patient care does not seem to be his priority, only billing for services.

Dr. Jackson is a very knowledgeable person. He is caring and answers all questions. When I first visited him, I knew he would be able to help my Afid. He is kind, compassionate and able to solve problems. I recommend him highly and I follow his instructions. Also, his staff is wonderful too, especially Tia. Thank you for taking care of me.

I had an appointment with Dr. Jackson's office today. I thank Monique for assuring I was able to get in the office. Dr Jackson doesn't have appointment availability for few months. I received a call at work at noon for a 1pm appointment. Anyone from this area knows it's hard to get an appointment with well sought out doctors. I felt compelled to write a review based on the other reviews. Everyone is always pleasant in his office.

Total 180 from the first cardiologist I saw at another practice. Dr. Jackson took my rare blood disease seriously and read my extensive history before our first appointment. His bedside manner was fantastic and he was very knowledgeable. I have no doubt he will work well with my team of specialists- what a relief after the first guy I went to!!

Dr Jackson, has been my Cardiologist for 15 years. In that time I have found him to be an outstanding and highly competent Dr. Dr Jackson has saved my life on more then one occasion.

As a new patient of Dr. Jackson, I waited six weeks for an appointment. On the appointment day, I had scheduled another test at a lab two doors down the hall from his office for 3:30 PM before my 4:30 time with Dr. Jackson. The lab had not received the referring doctor's orders at 3:30 so I checked in early at Dr. Jackson's office, had a cardiogram and was told by the cardiac tech she could only work one more minute before she left for the day and could not help me out the door in my wheelchair, She told me that Dr. Jackson had just started with another patient and would not be available for at least 20 minutes. So, instead of just sitting in his waiting room, I told the receptionist I would be back in time and headed two doors down the hall to the lab to finish my test. Fifteen minutes later, I entered Dr. Jackson's office and was told he had left and suggested I reschedule the appointment. So, after waiting six weeks, he had the nerve to leave knowing that I had already checked in and taken the cardiogram, and was next door at the lab. I was furious. He was rude, inconsiderate and just plain mean to a new patient who he knew was right next door. In retrospect, I believe he actually did me a favor and showed me his character and lack of concern for patients before I put my life in his hands.

Dr. Jackson is a great physician; personal, works long hard hours, and is a competent physician. Recently, Dr. Jackson informed me by phone that he would no longer provide care for me. He recommended that I find a new cardiologist. This was followed up by a formal letter from him ( cc'd to his chief operating officer), saying that his practice would not provide care for me and informed me of where to look for a new cardiologist .I had to scramble around to find a new cardiologist.Essentially, Dr Jackson wanted me off a particular medication. FIVE other of my doctors felt that I should remain on the medication in view of my medical history. I was stuck in the middle.I must say, it is admirable that Dr. Jackson sticks to his guns, in spite of other doctors recommendations. Needless to say, the experience was hurtful and disappointing to me, especially the way it was done. I have been a nurse for 46 years and 11 of those years I worked in the hospital that Dr. Jackson is affiliated with. I would have preferred a face to face conversation with him. His formal like actions made me feel unimportant and could have been handled in a more respectful fashion.

Never met a more dedicated physician. He takes the time to listen.
