Kimberlee Adkins's Online Review Report Card

Since Dr. Adkins took over from Dr. Flowers, my mother has had to jump through hoops to get an appointment when not feeling well. She is 92 and was sent to the ER instead of being given an appointment. They ran a battery of tests which is good, but found nothing. When she finally saw Dr. Adkins, she referred her to an Endocrinologist for possible thyroid issue. She has yet to get an appt. with specialist and here we are 5 weeks out, and she’s dealing with the same breathing issues. When my sister voiced her concern with Dr. Adkins office yesterday, about the hoops Mom is being made to go through, they told her that she needs to go back to the ER and that the paperwork was already sent to the specialist. First of all, Mom is NOT going back to the ER! If you are a PCP, please stop passing the buck and get on the phone with the specialist office and GET THIS APPT. Moms insurance Is TOP NOTCH, so there shouldn’t be a problem. ER is for emergency not as a backup for docs who are too busy

I recently requested her to refill my prescription that I had in my college town. She refused to refill it until I met with her, my medication was on my record that she had. My medication of antidepressants ran out and I went through withdrawal. She then had the AUDACITY to tell me I looked upset when I met with her. She is super unprofessional and rude.

I chose the right doctor for me. My doctor of 30 years retired and I needed the right fit for me. Dr. Adkins listens to my concerns. As an aging person I looked for a doctor that listens. We discuss medical results and she helps me decide which course of action is best for me. I think we will have a wonderful working relationship. I feel my health is in good hands.

Dr. Adkins is so personable and makes you feel very welcome. She takes her time and does not rush your appt. She is easy to get in to see when necessary and really cares about her patients. I have referred a few people here and they are all very happy!

Believe what others say about Kimberlee Adkins at Maryland Primary Care Physicians of Columbia. Rude, incompetent (she actually told me a CT and a MRI both have radiation, obviously not true), and certainly not any good trying to figure out a diagnosis in the least invasive way possible. She just orders needless scans, probably because she can’t figure out problems on her own, without regard for patient’s preference or other feasible options, and expects you to adhere to what SHE wants, forget about it being YOUR body and not hers. I saw a specialist about my condition after her who said I absolutely need no such scans. If I would’ve listen to Dr. Adkins I would have been exposed to tons of radiation for no reason . She needs a lesson in human autonomy and beside manner.

Dr. Adkins has excellent bedside manners and I feel that she cares about my total well being. She's proactive and has helped me to "reset" my health goals and get on track. I referred her to my daughters and a few friends.

Dr. Adkins is tops. She takes her time with her patients. She is thorough and knowledgeable in her field. If she is not sure of an answer to a question, she will get back to you with a feasible answer. She is kind and understanding. My daughter and I both feel confident in Dr.Adkins and her abilities. I have recommended her to several people and they are all pleased. Dr. Adkins has a true heart for her patients and her practice. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Kimberlee Adkins (Columbia, Md) is the most unprofessional doctor ever. Believes it is an impossible task to fill out paperwork properly. Staff sent the wrong paper work like 5x. Call center to make an appointment always have a long wait time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. She has be very rude an unprofessional. She believes that my expectation for her to fill out paperwork properly was unattainable. She also believe my expectation to receive the proper paperwork the FIRST time instead of the fifth time was unattainable. She was terrible to be seen by. Her staff was very unprofessional. Even the call center to make an appointment is unprofessional. They hang up on you and don’t call back. Please steer clear of Dr Adkins and the practice! Please go somewhere more professional.
