Dr.Donohue did an excellent job repairing my daughter's knee. Outpatient surgery, quick recovery and she was able to start playing water polo within 4 weeks. She also stated he was a nice doctor. Great surgeon!
Dr. Donahue is the best surgeon I can possibly refer to anyone needing one. He is very compassionate about what he does explains everything to you and like me my spouse after the surgery I would Call it in a way OCD. And that’s what I want my surgeon to be someone who checks everything explains everything and his bedside manner is even better I would highly recommend you go to him with all of my heart . I unfortunately have to visit him often because I need a bubble around me from breaking things but he always takes care of me with compassion education and dedication to his patients. God bless you Dr. Donahue
Dr. Donahue was outstanding in the 3 times I went to see him. Don't get me wrong. Sometimes there was a wait, if he was busy, but he always gave you his full attention to your reason to be there, when it was your turn. I was operated on both of my rotator cuffs, and aside from the discomfort, immediately after the surgery, I was thrilled that all of my pain and range of motion was relived completely I cannot think of a better result.
Dr Donahue provided a quality experience with Surgery to replace my knee joint. He listens to his patients and responds clearly to questions and concerns. My rehab is progressing well under his direction.
I first started having pain in my left knee after my football season had ended in August of 2017. The pain was nothing too severe but really bothered me when I performed athletic movements such as cutting and jumping. Keep in mind I was able to walk and go up/down stairs pain free. I met with Dr Donahue in September of 2017 which is when he had informed me my medial meniscus was torn. He told me there was a quick and easy procedure to fix the problem and I would be able to return to sports in a few months pain free. I didn't think twice about it so we went ahead and did the surgery later that month. Everything seemed to have went well after I had woken up. He said I could return to work the next day and back to doing what I love in a few months. My knee felt pretty good the next couple days after surgery probably because it was so numb. But I had no idea I was in for a nightmare...About a week after surgery I realized that the same shooting pain I had before the surgery was back, but this time during everyday movements like walking and going up/down stairs. I made an appointment to meet with Dr Donahue about 4 months after surgery in February 2018 to see what was going on with my knee and how to fix it. Dr Donahue was impatient with me and seemed as if he did not care about the problem he potentially caused. He got me out of there by simply telling me to do more therapy and keep waiting (I had already completed 5 weeks of PT after the surgery). I had received no clear answer as to what was wrong with my knee and left hopeless. February-November was consistent pain in the knee with no improvement. I slowly started to accept the fact that my knee may never get better and I probably wont be playing sports ever again. December rolled around and I figured I would walk around on an indoor turf field and maybe even try running. I got there and I started to stretch. I was performing a common warm-up called "karaoke" when I heard a loud pop in the knee. My foot hit the ground and I immediately dropped to the turf in excruciating pain. I didn't know what to do or who to call because most of my money went to IBJI "fixing" my knee the first time so I was trying to avoid an ER bill. I ended up calling IBJI AH office explaining the situation to the lady at the desk(she was very nice I think her name was Elaina) she told me I would be put on some high priority list and that Dr Donahue would call me as soon as he got into the LZ office at noon. I waited all day and never got a call back. I called the next morning in horrible pain pleading my case to another lady at the desk. She told me that she will leave a note for him and that he would call me later that day. Again, no response from Donahue. Its now day 3 since the incident and I am very lost on how to handle this from here on out. I realize I am most likely screwed but I want other people to be aware of my situation so this doesn't happen to you. Do not waste your time with Dr Donahue and last but not least RESEARCH YOUR PHYSICIANS because other people had bad experiences with him that I had not seen on the web before my surgery!!!

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
