He hung up on me before I could speak. I am POA of one of his patients who is quite sick. She needs to go to the ER and he refuses to give the order despite family and my request as POA. He said it’s not an emergency despite a 3 point drop in hemoglobin in 10 days, significant drop in BP, decreasing urine output, a positive occult stool ( pt is on two blood thinners too), lethargy and not eating for days. He is ordering no labs or diagnostics or fluids while he is “monitoring her”. I’ve been an RN for 36 years and would not ever recommend him. Unfortunately he is the Medical Director at Promedica in Arlington Heights so we are stuck until we can find another physician that listens and correctly cares for his patients. I suspect he likes the money but not the job. Find another provider, there are a lot out there so stay away from this one.
He insisted I take an NSAID medication prohibited by my nephrologist because of my kidney disease. He refused even to look at my last "visit discharge summary" from my kidney specialist. When I declined the Ibuprofen (for gout in a little finger which had subsided), he exclaimed, "You and I are finished!" I wondered what had happened to "First, do no harm!" In all my 67 adult years of selecting and working with my physicians, I have never encountered one this rude and dismissive of a patient.

very good at his job and caring
Hands down the best damn doctor. Smart well thinking, not quick to come to judgment without deliberation. And best of all seems like more of good friend than doctor. I have been thru many things in past with this Man and would be dearly worse off if not for him. Gregory M Crider
Great bedside manner. Explains things well.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
