List of MIdwest Dermatology's Reviews
Had appointment 8/28/2023 and received great care. On 9/6/2023, received Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from Insurance stating I will owe $178.23. A few days later, Midwest Dermatology send me an email with the invoice. I paid it in full on 9/15/2023. In December 2024, nearly 1-1/2 years later, I received a bill from Midwest Dem stating I owe another $45. They apparently resubmitted the claim under their 2024 contractual agreement and are now trying to collect more money. This is a great example of unethical billing practices. I do not recommend them. (By the way I am VP & RN for a large Medical Group, so I am familiar with medical practices.)
I have been going to midwest dermatology for years, I saw a different provider since my usual one had a long wait time. I wish I saved the time and money to wait because I have never experienced such poor service from anyone in health care. NP Nina Rusiana was extremely dismissive and unable to individualize care- prescribing me a "regiment" that she uses for all her patients and "herself" before further care. This regiment completely ignored my concerns and past experience with similar drugs. On top of that all my perscriptions were going to add up to be over $100 (I have good insurance). I was addressed as "girl" at one point. Coming from a health care provider, it was extremely condesending given the context. I did not feel comfortable to even further explain my hesitation with the plan I was given because it was clear that she was not able to accomodate with empathy or compassion in my previous attempts. I want to make it clear that I did see her on Christmas Eve. I believe I might have been one of the last patients. I am not sure if that it what contriubuted to lack of care, but either way that is no excuse. I worked as well - but did not feel inclined to treat people with less respect. I left work early to come to this appointment. I paid my copay and lost out on hours at work to be treated in such a dissmissing way. I will not be picking up what was sent to the pharmacy. Ultimately my visit today was a complete and utter waste. Dr. Delis is good though!
I recently switched to this practice because of Nina, whom I absolutely love and have been seeing for years . The practice is excellent, and they have now become my go-to dermatology office.
I was at Midwest for skin cancer removal. I can not say enough about the care I received from Dr Nicole Cote also Ruby the nurse and the rest of the staff. Excellent!!!
They do not return your call. Very disappointing practice today. In the past before the founding Dr left it was well run. Now you don’t matter. Don’t bother with this clinic
Have been trying to obtain a copy if my bill for over 3 weeks. Can never get someone to answer calls in Billing, always get a recording they're unavailable. Left several messages; no return calls and no bills received in the mail. Very frustrating as I can only access my funds with insurance for 4 more days; the end of 2023. Then I will have to pay out of pocket. Unacceptable
Dermatology for skin cancer survivors is not something we can really put off for months at a time. But Midwest thinks so. At least they called two days before the appointment. Very kind of them.
Similar experience to others. Having had skin cancer 25 years ago I have seen a lot of dermatologists. This used to be a great practice. But last couple years drs and staff have changed over and I can’t even seem to get a phone call back anymore. Appointments run crazy late. Tired of it and moving to a different practice that puts patients first
A Dermatolgy Doctor that is insensitive to his patients I have been going to this practice for 20 years and have always had very good service but not anymore. I had two tags that I requested be removed and was told that insurance didn't cover and I had to pay. For 20 years this was not their policy and they would take care of it. Now it requires payment out of pocket with no explanation. I had a full body inspection that took 3 minutes how thought was this? My wife and a friend had the same thing happen to them. I will not use them in the future or my friend or wife.
Staff was helpful and quick The older man Dr was bread and impersonal

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
