List of MIdwest Foot And Ankle Clinics's Reviews
I had an appt yesterday for the first time with Dr. Choi due to bilateral foot pain that has been going on for over a month and is very painful to walk etc, the pain is the worst in the morning. I also wanted my titanium plate to be looked at because it is starting to hurt to the touch, and to have a callous removed from my toe. Not one of those were provided at the time of service. Instead, I was told at the start of our conversation that I'm confused and not thinking straight with my "story" because it's all over the place. I was then told to play the "doctor" and start from the beginning, and so I did. Never, ever had a doctor say that to me before, and he was very combative and very unprofessional with no empathy what so ever from the start. As I was talking to him, he asked if I had back issues, and I said yes, I back in Sept 2023. I brought all my mri cd's and reports, just in case, including my foot xray from IBJI about a year ago. As I was telling him my "story" he was too engrossed in reading my lumbar and cervical report and not paying attention to what I was telling him about my feet. He was not interested in my "story", and told me to see a back specialist. I told him, I had sciatica and had two epidurals in my lumbar and cervical. I saw 2 back doctor's, one from IBJI and a second opinion at Northshore. I have no new current condition's with my back, nor do I need surgery on my back as he suggested, playing the role of a back specialist. My nerve box in my lumbar and cervical are wide open, so there is no nerve pinching and I do back exercises at home. I don't have an issue with my back because the epidural's resolved my issues. Then he had the gall to tell me, "you're looking for a quick fix today and that's not going to happen". a quick fix? What the hell kind of statement is that? I'm here for a diagnosis of my feet, not my back. Then he told me that he can order me an EMG test. I refused because of his lack of doctor skills and inability to even give me an explanation of xrays he had me take at the very beginning of my appt without talking to me first. Mr Choi was very wrong in telling me there was nothing that appeared on my x-ray, and I know that was wrong because I have a heel spur in my right foot with severe arthritis in my big toe, it was on my cd I provided from IBJI that he apparently didn't even look at to compare my . I question his credentials of being a foot and ankle specialist. I also felt his combative nature of the vomit coming out of his mouth and lack of empathy for a patient that is extreme pain. I also can't understand why he wouldn't even look at my feet or feel them to see exactly where my pain is at, despite me actually telling him, but that didn't matter to him either. Three things I needed this so called doctor to address and NOT one of them were! The front desk youngster was very combative as well when she told me to fill out new patient paper work, and I told her it already is when I e-signed in for my appt and made my portal with all my personal and health information and so on. Then she asked if I emailed the information that I filled out on line, what a stupid question considering it was done on my e-sign in on my portal and to avoid the paperwork. Makes no sense what so ever. She was very rude and not helpful in the least. Dr. Choi, I would avoid at all cost. You will waste your time and money due to his negligence of not diagnosing nor treating a patient. He wanted to hear my "story", and now I'm going to hear "his story" because he is now under investigation with the insurance company and the Department of Public Health. 0 stars for reception and -0 for the so called Dr. Perhaps he is in the wrong specialty field and should be a back specialist instead.
Dr. Choi gave me orthotics that did not fit right and when I went to follow up about it they didn't look into it at all and blamed my shoes. Got rid of his orthotics and still wearing the same shoes and miraculously I am feeling better. I would avoid this practice.
Most kind. Professional. Great staff. Amazing
Dr Kirchens is the very best! Her and her staff are friendly and professional ! Great office. Thank you Dr. Kirchens
Dr. Kirsten is very personable and caring. She diagnosed my problems and she discussed how I can relieve some of the pain. She went out of the ways and adjusted by orthotic. It has helped me tremendously.
My favorite Doctor and staff. I feel great when I leave there. Highly recommend!
Dr. KHALID, was very helpful and answered all questions abouts club foot. Looking forward to get my insert for my shoes.
Dr. Kirchens carefully diagnosed my running injury and advocated the least invasive solution possible. "Let's start with simple. Simple usually works," she said. I love that.
Professional, thorough, timely and provided explanation of problem.
Dr. Choi was a pleasure to work with. I was with my mother translating and all of the staff members made it as easy as possible for us to receive quality treatment. Dr. Choi answered all of our questions with great detail and made us feel comfortable during our appointment. My mother is very happy with how the visit went.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
