List of Running Iron Sport & Spine's Reviews
Started seeing Mike Davenport for a running injury I had in the lead up to my first attempt at the 100 mile ultra trail race distance. First thing he did after saying hello in the office was to take me on a tour and show me all of his framed photos and medals from his Ironman and 100 mile race finishes. That was strange, to put it mildly. I have never been in a so-called health care setting where the provider was more interested in telling me about his achievements, however notable, than in addressing my issue as the client. Nevertheless I did not follow my gut instinct and walk out. What followed was about a half dozen sessions where Mike would do some ultrasound work for about 15 minutes and then talk about joining me for training runs, do a bit of not effective mobility work and so forth. None of this was helpful. But I had a very challenging 100 mile race to train for and I was, in hindsight, overly impressed by his achievements in racing. All this collapsed when out of the blue due to some sort of emergency or crisis, Mike canceled all appointments and disappeared for a number of weeks. This was in the weeks leading up to my event. Running Iron made a half-hearted and belated attempt to explain after I had called to make an appointment and then referred me to another chiropractor. I did not see another chiropractor and this experience has opened my eyes to the industry. My advice-go to a PHYSICAL THERAPIST! Oh, and then nine months later, Running Iron charged my credit card $200 for visits they said I had completed but due to poor accounting or who knows what, they never charged me for at the time. All in all, a terrible experience.
If your looking for a knowledgeable Dr/Chiropractor that will listen to your needs and help you with getting stronger or faster- THIS IS THE PLACE. Mike is a true athlete and IronMan that has the experience to help you get your body back in motion. He has the latest and greatest equipment to help you in a safe beautiful gym. Mike spends the time needed to take you to the next level. I highly recommend this Dr/ Chiropractor.
Dr. Davenport's chiropractic office is most professional, top-notch. Treatments are always outstanding, and definitely long-lasting. I drive about a half hour for my appointments and they are absolutely worth it.
Dr. Davenport is the best in the Midwest!
Great people. Awesome equipment and trainers. I highly recommend them.
I haven't been to any other chiropractor but I can't imagine that there would be a better one than this one. Dr Davenport is super nice. He lets me pay my dues to him as slowly as I need to, as long as I'm paying him in general. The scheduler lady at the desk is diligent and cares what she's doing. She will take all the time she needs to make sure all of your concerns are answered. My trainer, Patrick, is kind and patient, while still motivating me to work hard during our workouts. He is not afraid to tell you to kick it up a notch if you are stalling. Dr. Wood, the other chiropractor he has at his facility, is just as good at his job as Davenport. He doesn't hire people who don't know what they're doing. This is one of the best facilities I've ever been a customer to
Dr.Davenport is fantastic. He is very good in treating my back . His staff also are friendly and very nice. I would recommend Running iron and Dr. Davenport for any of your back needs or workout programs.
Great experience working with Dr Davenport and his team! I would highly recommend this office!
Great experience. Feeling better even after the first treatment. Finally feel like I have found someone who really understands my problem.
Very grateful to have stumbled upon this facility. I began seeing Dr. Davenport for IT band syndrome and other knee/back-related pain. Over the span of weeks, Dr. Davenport helped to alleviate the pain that was preventing me from running. He introduced me to muscular/technique imbalances in my running form to which I had otherwise been unaware. Through working with Alex, the most knowledgeable and personable trainer I've worked with, I am progressively discovering what works for me. Everyone at the facility has an incredible demeanor; I couldn't recommend anyone else.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
