Looking for a new obgyn that was different from my last, but they were pretty much the same. Pretty old school, say too much about my borderline bmi- which I'm tired of, pushed extra treatments. Just not what I'm looking for.
Dr. Ehrlich is a wonderful and most thorough doctor I have ever had! I cannot imagine any other doctor who is as competent as she is. I hope she outlives me so I don’t have to find another gynecologist.
Wonderful
I had my first appointment with Dr. Erlich where I felt she lectured me about my weight. As someone who has struggled with weight loss my entire life, it was a little off putting; especially since I lost 35 pounds right before I got pregnant. I went into labor earlier than expected and she was the on call doctor. I could not have been more pleased with my experience. I had a C-section and she was knowledgeable and efficient. I felt very comfortable and at ease with her. After surgery, she was very attentive to my needs.
Dr. Erlich is a hidden gem. She is the only reason I make the drive from Chicago to the suburbs, and the ONLY reason I chose to deliver my baby with Northwest Community Hospital instead of Northwestern Prentice Women's Hospital in Chicago. I will follow her anywhere she goes. She is compassionate, reasonable, and truly uses her brain to make the best decisions. She presents facts and information along with recommendations to me as a patient but ultimately lets me make decisions for myself and be in control of my own health journey. She is supportive and has always been accessible to patients, even outside of scheduled appointments which never feel rushed. During appointments, she discusses any concerns I might have, takes thorough notes, explains everything before doing it, and is comfortable to talk to, which is so important for women's health. She will call you when she says she will, even if outside of regular business hours and is truly dedicated to helping her patients!
I took my daughter to Dr. Erlich for a procedure. First, I have to say that she is the first gynecologist able to work with her and get her to return. She was phobic about the experience of annual exams. Then, when a procedure was warranted, she was as patient and kind as could be...with my daughter, and with me. Her follow up was complete. Her concern for my daughter very genuine. I am so very grateful for her good care and follow up.

She is pragmatic and supportive and has always been accessible to me as a patient, even outside of scheduled appointments which never feel rushed. During appointments, she discusses any concerns I might have, takes thorough notes, explains everything she's doing before she does it and why, and is very easy and comfortable to communicate with which is so important for women's health. It is obvious she is dedicated to her field and you can feel that she goes above and beyond for her patients. One big thing that is hard to come by with doctors is trust and follow-through -- if she says she will call you, she makes sure to set aside time during and outside of regular business hours to reach you personally. Of all the doctors I see in various specialties, she is my number 1 top doctor and I drive the distance just to see her because that's how much I trust her brain and bedside manner specifically. There can sometimes be a wait to get on her schedule for a regular check-up due to her popularity with patients, so be prepared to book a little in advance if you have certain day/time restrictions.

We have discussed overall physical health, mental health, hormone changes, fertility, reproductive health, and migraines, which are all related in the whole picture of women's health. Dr. Erlich is, by far, the best doctor I have had over the course of my life. She is brilliant, dedicated, kind, caring, compassionate, and honest. Dr. Erlich is genuinely interested in helping her patients and treats them with kindness and respect. Many doctors are money hungry and proceed with certain procedures or treatments that are unnecessary, but Dr. Erlich is an exception. Due to the personal nature of it, I cannot go into detail--but I will just say that Dr. Erlich is a wonderful human being who is honest and has a loving heart. Dr. Erlich has been my gynecologist for several years, and she also has my mom as a patient. She recently performed an outpatient surgical procedure on me, and she called me that same day to see how I was feeling and if I needed anything. She is so popular and is somewhat difficult to get in to see, but she was willing to stay late one day for an appointment just to accommodate me. In addition to all the wonderful qualities mentioned previously, Dr. Erlich is also very thorough in her explanations and takes her time to make sure all of your questions are answered. I appreciate Dr. Erlich so much and highly recommend her to anyone who is in search of an exceptional doctor as well as a good human being who truly cares about her patients and their well-being.
Dr Erlich is simply wonderful and I cannot recommend her enough to women seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate provider. Dr. Erlich cares about her patients and knows their stories. She has a great bedside manner, is quick and efficient. I don’t think I will ever switch to a different provider and already worry about what I’m going to do if Dr Erlich decides to retire at some point.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
