List of Linden Oaks Behavioral Health At Northwest Community - Arlington Heights's Reviews
i loved it here i don't know why there are so many negative reviews the staff was so nice especially vincent and latroya they were the best.
i cant speak for all of the programs here but as an adolescent who’s been in and out of these places for years i can say that i’ve seen much better places. if you are looking to send your child here i highly advise looking for somewhere else like alexian brothers. my experiences with the 3 times i’ve been inpatient here were not all bad but i do struggle with ptsd and while having a panic attack was told that if i did not tell my parents the details of my trauma then they would not talk to me and help me calm down. staff watched me engage in self harm and eventually took to more extreme measures of restraining me. i understand that in the moment i was not safe and precautions had to be taken however i was yelled at, thretened, and laughed at by the staff during this process. as for the program itself it is very disorganized at kids are not allowed to talk at all outside of groups until they move up a very difficult level system. i do not recomend this place however latroya is my queen and the school there was unbelievably supportive.
This is a zero rating. My daughter is now more traumatized by the abusive behavior of the nurses who made fun of her trauma and the doctor who I never talked to and is a giant narcissist. They didn't have warm water, were fed expired food which made her sick and very little mental health care. She went outside for 5 minutes. I am disturbed and disgusted by what happened to her there. We are considering filing a law suit - which many already have. Do NOT send your child here. They will not get help and will become more traumatized.
Literal child abuse. I was held here for 7 days and they fed us expired food, the nurses were verbal and made fun of patients trauma, some were physical, the doctors never talked to my parents and tried to keep me as long as possible for the insurance money, we had a prison toilet that barely worked and a non functioning sink and horrible beds, a tiny bland room that felt like jail, and we had no hot water and were refused food and drinks half the time. I wasn't let outside at all. My roommate passed out from malnutrition from them and blood loss and it took them over an hour to get her medical assistance, and just sat there. She had been asking for medical assistance the day before and was refused it. I am beyond traumatized. I wish I could do zero stars.
This place saved my life. Dr. Gugnani and her staff care so much about their patients and go above and beyond to make sure everyone gets what they need. I continue to see Dr. Gugnani for outpatient treatment. If anyone is struggling this place will help you!
I been here for a couple of times but now it’s slowly becoming a bad place to go to, it’s very unorganized then it used to be and now you don’t get to do family sessions, in groups people barely talk and before they would make everyone participate you would get family sessions and the doctors would always be on point now they’re not and everything is just slowly shutting down because a lot of the workers there also left and there is barely new people who don’t understand the old good system .
Been to way better hospitals but john is the real homie and karen can leave. Period.
Zero stars. NEVER send anyone here! The “secured lock floor” is a joke. They assured us that “Your child is safe here” Hahaha. What a bunch of BS!! Explain how you let an Adolescent walk right out the building without anyone’s knowledge.
DO NOT GO HERE, FIND A BETTER ESTABLISHMENT. If you or your loved one ends up in this establishment, you will be severely deceived, tricked into taking medication and have to rely on the truly incompetent, mean and un trustworthy nurses and staff. They will involuntarily admit against your will, tell you there is no 72hr hold limit and trick you into signing papers to stay longer.... and if you feel you were wrongly admitted or don’t need to be there, they will consistently threaten you with going to see a judge to decide (and suggest you cannot leave without signing papers). Now not to say nobody belongs here, some certainly do, but I pray for the many for get stuck here and simply lose sanity due to loss of feeling like a free individual. They deleted all my previous reviews, let’s see if this one sticks? A class action suit should certainly be placed upon the entire system for this gross act of injustice. Contact me, and half the people that manage to leave here if your a lawyer and want to proceed with a case. My PTSD has certainly only gotten worse after my involuntary admission, and I sadly trust these evil people who THINK they’re doing good EVEN LESS. Pray for the patients in this place, and hope to your god, this place is investigated and changes are made. They are hurting many people.
I should know. I've been in and out of these kind of inpatient mental health hospitals 20+ years, I've had 50+ stays in them. This one here is hands down the absolute best place to go! Trust me when I say many mental health hospitals are horrible nightmares that don't care about you. This place here, the moment you're admited you're welcomed and feel safe! Thay 100% care about you're needs and getting you well! The nurseing staff is always atentive to you, the other staff members that watch you thew out the day totally care and not one of them are there for just a pay check. They keep every thing super clean unlike other hospitals I've been to. If you or a family member in need of a stay for mental health, go to the emergency room at nch, if you go to any other emergency room some where else you run a high risk of ending up at some other mental health inpatient... and one last thing, you will never ever be hungry here! Patients here can choose there food, and can get dubs or triples portions on breakfast lunch and dinner and have snacks all thew out the day!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
