SHADY MEDICAL OFFICE - STAY AWAY. Told them about postpartum. Same front desk lady is now saying I’m not a patient even though this is the last doctor I’ve seen over the years. No letter of patient-doctor termination letter. Don’t tell me “this is the rule”. Your rules are not laws. Also, mother-in-law was seen but doctor REFUSED to fill prescription due to not wanting to pay CASH. Go with a REAL medical professional that actually wants to help your health.

Dr. Brotea has been my physician for over ten years. She is the best doctor for me and my children. I have nothing but good things to say about her. I never have to wait for her to arrive, she's on time every time. She cares and understands people.

Dr. Brotea is very rude and disrespectful, I would not refer her to even my worse enemy! My last experience with her she tried to yell at my children and I for being ten min late though I called in advance and told her we were running late, which she said was fine. It was like she snapped out of nowhere, slams the door and my kids and I face as if she has mental health issues. I would highly NOT RECOMMEND DR. BROTEA.

I was given her as my PCP for Blue Cross and when I reached her office she informed me that she wasn't taking in new clients because of COVID. Now we have to wait another 3 were for Blue Cross to assign a Doctor because this one doesn't want to do her job. I have already submitted a report with BC to inform them the doctor they provided is refusing service.

My grandma had run out of her blood pressure medication and her prescription had expired. We called Dr. Cristina Brotea to get a refill and she said my grandma would have to be seen on Monday. I asked that would she be at risk if she didn't take her medication over the weekend until she was seen. Dr. Cristina Brotea said yes. I asked her to prescribe a couple of pills to get her through the weekend and she said NO! My grandma would have to go to the Emergency Room if she starts having problems. I can't understand that if my grandma is going to see her on Monday, why would you put your patient at risk and not prescribe the same medication for just the weekend? How horrible for my grandma to be Dr. Cristina Brotea's patient and this so-called Dr. would put my grandma at risk by not prescribing her the medication she has been using for 1 year. I am going to help grandma get a great Dr. who cares and not potentially put my grandma at risk to go the emergency room. I would not recommend this Dr. for Seniors. Her demeanor is not one that we wish to encounter again.
