Please give him a chance!! You will not regret it I promise! He was my endocrinologist for 3 years and I would not have wanted anyone else! He encouraged me to live a healthier lifestyle and I am way happier now than I was before. I moved to Mtl from Toronto, and did not think that I could have an endocrinologist who I liked more than my old one. Dr. Barnes proved me wrong! Please give him a chance, he cares and just wants to help!

Had cataract surgery on both eyes several years ago. Could not be happier. Some of my friends going to other doctors have not been as fortunate. Always remembers that I am an avid golfer.

Doctor who seems to consider the parents as an obstacle. Does not take the time to listen and answer your questions, lack of empathy, and seems to be insecure when you need more infos. Glad to see that this doctor has been helpful for some children. Our experience was a kind of nightmare.

Dr. Barnes has seen me through some difficult times with my left eye. I don't think I could find a more capable and caring doctor.

When my son was first diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 6, I was terrified, I thought that he was going to have to many obstacles in his way and not be able to fulfill all of his dreams. When we got Dr. Barnes as our endocrinologist, I came on this site to see what the ratings were. We stuck with him because we believe that everyone deserves a chance. I am so glad that we did, he is the most caring and knowledgeable doctor ever. I could never have hoped for a better person to help us through such a difficult time. Dr. Barnes gave us hope and all of the best tools to ensure that our son is able to succeed in anything and everything that he wants. I understand that everyone has different experiences so I just want you to give this amazing and wonderful man a chance and trust me, your life will be changed for the better.

Oh my God, Terrible! This person lacks basic human qualities required to provide medical care. Zero sensitivity, zero empathy and lack of bedside manners as well as profound lack of knowledge. Never going there again, even if he were the last “ doctor” in the world.

Pretentious doctor who serves his personal interests.I never perceived him to be an empathetic person, nor sincerely concerned with the real well-being of the patient. When one can compare with many other doctors, it is far from being at the top of the list.

I can not believe that there are any bad reviews about Dr. Barnes. He knows so much about diabetes and I could not want to have my child seen by anyone else. He cares so much about what he does and he just wants the best for your children. You will really see a difference between him and any other endocrinologist out there, he is by far the best. If you get him, I highly suggest that you stick with him you will get the best care and help there is. He is also able to make everyone in the room have a great laugh when it is needed and sometimes you really just need to relax. Dr. Barnes knows what he is talking about and will only be able to help your child feel better.

I am upset to see the negative reviews about Dr. Barnes. My son was diagnosed with diabetes 8 years ago. Dr. Barnes was his endocrinologist for few years until we moved to another province. My son was four at that time and now he is 9. After being followed by few endocrinologist, I can assure you that Dr. Barnes is the best. Yes he can be annoying sometimes but that's because he cares a lot about his patients. I wish i had known that back then! I am so glad that Dr. Barnes was my son's first endo. because we learned so much from him and from the diabetes clinic team in the Montreal Children's hospital. Can you believe that we are still applying the Diabetes Education and training they gave us 5 years ago today. Being a doctor for him is more than a job: it is a vocation. We will always be grateful that my son had the opportunity to be his patient. There are many good endocrinologists out there but DR. BARNES set the bar very high.

Although he was nice, he was also intense, annoying, and, for the most part, unhelpful.
