I am very disappointed in the way that the dr handled a very inconvenient situation of mine. When his office made a mistake, him nor his assistant called me to notify that they had new results. The lack of ethical skills and communication is unbelievable.

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Mercado for 7+ years and was very happy with his level of professionalism. because of this I switched from my old doctor to Dr Mercado about 4 years ago and I can say without hesitation that I have no regrets. His level of attentiveness is outstanding and I have never felt rushed unlike my experience with other doctors. 2 years ago he successfully determined the root cause of my 4 month cough. It was cured in about 3 days.

He saw that I was not walking straight and had poor balance. He failed to tell me to go to the ER, just kept telling me my bp was high. He seemed distracted that day when I saw him and his office was busy. I left his office unable to walk properly and as I was leaving he asked "Are you going to be ok?" My mom's doc was the one who listened to me and urged me to go to the ER. I ended having a brain infection and was in the ICU for 4 days. I won't recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Mercado is caring and takes the time to talk to the kids. He has been my kids pediatrician for years. The wait time is not bad. I end up waiting about 5 minutes in the waiting room and about 5 minutes in the exam room. That is faster then most doctors.

Dr Mercado has been taking care of my children for at least 12 years. He listens, smiles, is patient and REALLY knows his stuff!! I would and do tell everyone what a great dr Sergio Mercado is. He has always been there for my family and has gone out of his way to help with whatever problem we are having.

He is very nice but good luck trying to get in to see him. His wait list is usually a MONTH LONG!
