Was not happy. I was charged for first 2 visits, not being satisfied with results I asked if I would be charged if I returned for touch up. 3 people in office said no including doctor. To my dismay, at checkout I was charged a additional high fee!!! I was misled & lied to, very unprofessional to treat a patient as such. Not recommending this practice to anyone! Don’t waste your money. What was suppose to be one visit turned into 3 double the cost!! Very disappointed & upset. Never again!
I went in to have a very small growth scraped off of my lower eye lid. I was charged $317 for the biopsy, $250 for the surgical tray (which consisted of a small knife, a shot of numbing medicine, and a small cotton square), and $200 for the pathology. I was not able to pay that amount right away and not long after that I started to experience other health issues (unrelated) and was not able to get to/open my mail. The bill went to collections, which was my fault, I understand paying a reasonable late fee and was prepared to do that. I was charged a $200 fee on top of the amounts mentioned above. I have been a long time patient and have referred countless people to this doctor. When I called to discuss this, I was told that there is nothing they can do.
While I was sitting in my paper gown, feeling vulnerable and concerned as a survivor of malignant melanoma thinking I was looking at a recurrence, the np told me results would take 2 wks, I shared that with my first melanoma, my oncologist had said if I had waited just another week or two, I would have needed chemo and had my path results the same day. I asked her if they ever rush results. She said they have no control wand even if they rush, no guarantee in less than 5 work days. I wanted the doctor to decide. He flew into the room, did not acknowledge my handshake or my intro, did not ask me anything or listen while I tried to share my history. When I repeated what my oncologist said, he said, "THAT'S JUST NOT TRUE" in a loud, intimidating way. He chided me and challenged me to find a quicker lab. I told him a derm last year gave me results in a day. "WHY DON'T YOU GO BACK THERE THEN?" Turned and left. NP kept hammering away. INEXCUSABLE. I am 56 years old and see many docs.

Never had an experience like this, so unprofessional and petulant like a child.
I saw Bridgett Hallstrom at Pinnacle Dematology/Van Dam Dermatology in February. I have been going to this office for a few years. I was SHOCKED at their new pricing. I go every year for a check. The evaluation went from $72. in 2018 to $196. in 2019. The total bill in 2018 was $222. The total bill in 2019 was $606. I feel this was for basically the same service as the year before. Every charge on the bill stated that the "charge exceeds fee schedule/maximum allowable." So why the new fees? Could it be because Pinnacle has taken over? I called four time for answers, I received no answers and no help. I will be finding a new dermatologist. I really liked Bridgett Hallstrom but I won't be taken advantage of or my insurance company!
Hides under two layer of "in network" providers and then ignores Insurance discounts because he is "out of network"
How fortunate I am to be treated with professional, knowledgeable, experienced, honest, compassionate, genuine and friendly Dr. & medical care team. They all feel that my conditions and health is the most important thing and that is extremely comforting. The entire staff is always professional and caring. I am always seen/treated in a timely manor. I can be myself. Timely follow-ups & answers all my questions. I am truly blessed with this medical care team and know I have the very best!
I've been going to Dr. Van Dam for almost 30 years. I've had very serious skin cancer issues and he's been the best in devoting the time for my issues and bringing in others when needed. I feel I owe a great deal to this gentleman and his skill. He's among the best. His biggest "issue" is it's challenging to get a fast appointment......which tells you how much in demand he has from both loyal patients as well as new patents that have heard about him from those that have experienced his care.
I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF DR. VAN DAM FOR ABOUT 20 YEARS AND I HAVE COMPLETE TRUST IN HIM, HE IS ALWAYS PLEASANT, LISTENS AND SPENDS ENOUGH TIME FOR QUESTIONS I MAY HAVE...HE IS THE BEST!!!
Very painful treatment + NO results after 2.5 months + $3500 = a huge waste. My neck still hurts. I'll give it a few more month and if still no photographable results I'll be reporting to the Better Business Bureau, AMA, etc. Also worry about the effects of the inflammation on overall health. A clinical trial (by Ultherapy not an unbiased third party) on efficacy was completed a year ago but no results yet published.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
