List of Jill Motl's Reviews
She was the on call doctor when I called the practice in the middle of the night due to issues from gall bladder removal surgery I had just two days prior. I was in severe pain and was also dealing with my two young children who both woke up around the same time for various reasons. Long story short, I accidentally missed her call. I called back within a minute and apologized right away, but I was scolded like a child because I was calling her personal cell phone and when I call after hours I need to answer the call back. Then very abruptly was asked what I was calling for. She was short and condescending for the duration of the call. No compassion or kindness for a post op patient who was scared and in pain. I understand her frustration but her rudeness and attitude were so uncalled for. I was truly shocked she spoke to me that way. She may be a good doctor for all I know, but what a horrible human being. Would never voluntarily choose her as my doctor.

Amazing surgeon who really listens to the patient. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Motl in charge of my welfare. I highly recommend.
Dr. Modl was the 7th doctor I saw about my conditions and the first one who was able to diagnose and treat me properly. She acknowledged my pain and took me seriously, which wasn’t happening with my previous doctors. She recommended surgery and got me an appointment two days later to help alleviate the pain sooner. Her surgery solution only required a long weekend off from work, compared to a two-month leave of absence my prior surgeon said was necessary. I could not trust Dr. Modl enough. Thank you for the help!
I can't praise this doctor enough! She is truly an "old school" type all wrapped up with the latest medical tricks. Wonderful bedside manner. Easy to talk to and get answers. No rush. Wish they were all like her.
Awesome and relaxed. Made me feel at ease.
I recently had the "dreaded" colonoscopy with Dr. Motl at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. I can not say enough about her excellent bedside manner, personality, compassion and of course, her knowledge.
Dr Motl patiently took much time with me as I had a thousand questions. She also explained the colon resection procedure I was going to have very thoroughly so I felt like I was completely informed. Couldn’t believe how fast I healed. I attribute that to her surgical expertise. Her bedside manner would make anyone comfortable. A great lady! My Cancer experience was made easier because she was my surgeon. Would highly recommend.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
