Dr. Freedberg recently performed successful surgery on my fully ruptured hamstring three weeks after I sustained the injury in a foreign country. Due to the severity (significant distance between hamstring and bone due to rupture), and the length of time between when the injury occurred and when I was scheduled for surgery, there was a high probability that the surgery wouldn't work. However, Dr. Freedberg was able to re-attach my hamstring successfully against significant odds, and I am happy to say that playing sports / being active is now again part of my future.

Dr. Howard Freedberg and Suburban Orthopedics offers state-of-the-art facilities, accurate, reliable and professional diagnosis and treatment. If he was a quarterback, he would be Tom Brady, and the team around him, the New England Patriots. My meniscus repair was less painful than oral surgery, i.e., no pain. A few days later I was back in the gym, one week later I rode my bike 11 miles as per usual (slower pace). I live a long distance from Bartlett, but drive there willingly to go with the best. He has helped both our son and daughter, in times past. We trust and admire Dr. Freedberg, and I am happy to have him on my team as our go-to orthopedist. I highly recommend Dr. Freedberg. If you live southwest, great, if not, it's worth the drive to have the no. 1 orthopedic physician on your side.

My name is Jim. I'm 62. I've been running non-competitively for more than 40 years. Drs. Freedberg and Bartkowiak have been as committed to help me run as I am committed to running. There may be other doctors as skilled as them, maybe not; but IMO there is no other team of doctors as skilled AND committed to respecting the patient and the patients goals as these guys! Just went through an arthroscopic repair of my right knee cartilage and meniscus - and, no kidding, I mowed the lawn 3 days later, was riding my bike 3-5 miles a day after 4 days - and experienced very little discomfort, let alone pain during rehab. Maybe that's not to be expected all the time - but my recovery really has been nearly painless. THANKS! I MEAN IT!!

Best Ortho and staff around. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Freedberg is the best Ortho hands down and I first met himy over 12 years ago with a Torn ACL. Continueing to help my family and myself to this day. Thanks for everything as always. And say hi to France! We miss her!

I don't know what to say to make it sound like I'm not lying to you. Everybody from the secretaries in the offices, to the nurses/office technicians, to the doctors that worked with me professionalism and personality were always evident. They made me feel comfortable with every visit, made me feel highly informed following my procedure, and made sure they did their best to get me as back to 100% as possible. Frankly, if you choose any other orthopedic practice, you're cutting yourself short of the best healthcare available!

I wanted to thank Dr. Freedberg for sending me to get an ultrasound today when I came in with a swollen lower leg in order to rule out a blood clot. Turns out that's exactly what I had and now I'm on the proper medication. Who knows what might have happened otherwise.

My first visit there was 5 years ago, I had a torn meniscus. I was treated by Dr. Freedberg, this man is amazing. I was impressed by his friendliness and his great staff. Now I find myself back there with elbow pain. I chose to make the 2 hour drive back to suburban orthopedics because of the high quality of care. I would never trust anyone else when it comes to my orthopedic care.
