Dr Birge has been my family doctor for 16 years. I deal with doctors with my day job. Dr. Birge has compassion and empathy. I have had him address ailments from funny looking moles to pain from a car accident. He is easy to talk to and truly cares about his patients. His NP is the same way. After poor interactions with other physicians (ears nose throat/orthopedics) I was hesitant to see anyone but Dr. Birge, but NP Devlin has same approach to her care.

Fair care but follow up at times falls behind. Doctor not always available. No backup doctor. NP is the backup.

I've been a patient here for 12 years and I've been more than satisfied. Dr. Birge is highly experienced and can do magic. Staff is also very nice and caring. Can't find better service and care than this place.

I was shocked that he actually sat down and opened my file. He spent at least 20 minutes reading it. It's not the only time he did this. He's the only doctor I've ever had that spent this kind of time with me. Dr. Birge rattled off solutions to losing weight and spoke about calories and did math in his head so quickly it made my head spin. The details he had made him the smartest doctor I've ever listened to in person. He's also never pushed me to do testing that I didn't want to do and didn't think was necessary. And when I needed cheaper meds, he found solutions. Most of the doctors I've seen in the last 3 years besides him all wanted me to spend more money with testing, meds, and two even suggested surgery. They didn't seem to care at all about my input or what I wanted. Dr. Birge has never been like that. He's quiet but I've never found him to be rude. I just don't believe he is. I've been a patient for a long time. He's out of the network that my insurance is in, but I still go to him because the other choices I've found were so poor and it always seemed like they were so short with me and wanted more money out of me.

I wish I could gave no start to this doctor. He diagnosed me with Thyroid and he was giving me 4 times dose. He never gave me enough time for my questions, though it was shocking and surprising for me to digest thyroid issue. I started getting joint pains and he asked me to prescribe ibuprofen. He treats Indians like pigs. I would never go to him and never recommend anyone to see him. My another friend also hated him.
