Dr Holt and his office staff were wonderful with me. I had rectal cancer and he did pre op procedures and 2 surgeries on me. He spent a lot of time with me explaining everything prior to treatments and surgery. He was great letting my family know how everything went after surgery. Everything he told me was spot on. Very skilled and caring. I can't recommend him and his staff enough. Would give 10 stars if I could.

Incompetent and unprofessional don't even begin to describe this office. Got "Dr" Holt (I am using the term doctor VERY loosely) by way of an emergency surgery (didn't choose him). I was then given recovery info by 3 different nurses and then received conflicting info from "Dr" Holt, when I asked for clarification he started yelling that he's the surgeon and if I want to listen to nurses then I can have them do the surgery. After recovery I scheduled a follow-up reversal and after a 24 hr fasting and surgery prep, came into the surgery center as scheduled and was informed they'd have to reschedule because the prep instructions the "Dr" gave me were inaccurate and I'd have to do it all over again with an extra step added in. If you have an option AVOID THIS "DOCTOR".

Dr Holt and All of his staff, are the absolute Best, Lydia is awesome. He has done all of my procedures, and each time he spend quality time explaining and answering questions. Dr Holt has done 2 procedures on my Fiance, Excellent outcome ,He has done a relative of mine procedure, who was diagnosed with Colon rectal ca he took excellent care of him, Even wanting him to come back to discuss to encourage him the next step for a better outcome. Several years back he took great care of my mother and did her successful Colon Ca surgery. Having all these positive outcomes , I would not go to any one else .

Doc Holt did surgery on my husband and was so pleased to have a doc who listened, took time with us and explained everything in terms we could understand. Very good experience.

He was direct to the point with good "bedside" manner severely lacking in some of the other OSF GI Doctors locally I had to deal with. Totally happy with the results

I recently had my gallbladder removed by Dr. Holt and the experience was great (considering the circumstances). He spent plenty of time helping me understand my test results and why surgery was needed. He understood that I was anxious about having surgery and the extra time that he spent during my office consultation really made a difference. The office staff were all friendly and scheduling appointments was easy. The surgery and recovery went smoothly. I had zero complications and minimal pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Holt.

As someone who had never had any surgeries I was so appreciative of Dr. Holt walking me through the surgery before it happening and answering all my questions. On top of all of this I was so impressed with the after care him and his office took to heart. They called to check in and see how I was feeling and were so easy to work with when it come to medication refills and follow up appointments. Dr. Holt did an amazing job in performing my gallbladder surgery! Excellent bed side manner, answered all my questions and never felt rushed, which i appreciated! The scars left are minimal if visible at this point! Great experience!
