Terrible.
Dr.Medavaram is great but the wait time is super long every time. I would say the average wait time is about 40 minutes. Not sure why they tend to overbook all the times.
Not good. Long wait. Late paperwork/ medicine. Rude staff member.
I been a patient for 20 years plus she’s the best dr I ever had very human person and she care for her patient.
She is so attentive, so caring, she listens to you with all her heart and gives you the best advice. You can ask her a million questions and she she will answer every question with so much patience.
She use to be ok but over the last year or so she has been awful. She does not believe ur pain or conditions and only wants to get money from your insurance and co-pays. She never writes proper notes for herself and tells you to come in for addition appointments so you can tell her the same thing you told her 2 days ago just so she can charge your insurance. It's like they're money hungry!!! No one cares about the patients health anymore. DO NOT GO HERE!!
I have not had an issue with Dr.Medavaram. I'm usually in and out within 30 minutes. She cares about her patients.
I had the worst experience with this Dr. Day 1- the office staff (office manager) could not find my insurance info. I knew it was there as I had checked before my visit to MAKE SURE everything insurance/referrals were in the system. I asked if she could call the ins company as they had all the info she needed. She refused. I asked could I then call. "No" not their policy. Well is not helping a patient be seen one of her main responsibilities? My phone was dead so I proceeded to go to my car to charge and call my ins company who then CALLED HER (as I sat in the parking lot lol) to let her know how to access my info. So silly and inefficient. The Dr. made me wait an exorbitant amount of time like 40 minutes and that was once I got in the room! She apologized. However it really didn't do much for my sick baby at home waiting for mommy. The worst of all are her office staff. They are BEYOND RUDE just blatantly nasty, immature girls who need to grow up and learn how to deal with the public. After needing some paperwork done and constantly calling one girl says, "We wrote it but YOU wanted it changed". So what? That means you change it and continue to do your job. Also, "We TRIED to give you the referral but YOU didn't call" No, I didn't because you said you'd call ME with a different dr.s name. "Well I DIDNT know THAT". No, you didn't so why be nasty with me? It was your mistake. It was like dealing with a bunch of ill behaved, snotty, teenagers. Those were regular dealings with the office staff. I am not exaggerating. The first day I visited the office, an older gentleman walked out in a huff after trying so hard to explain he needed some help. I kept hearing the office manager try to placate/patronize him by saying again and again like he was a baby, "we'll call your cell phone". To which he says, I told you I DONT HAVE ONE! Poor guy. I felt so sorry for him. Immediately, I complained to the dr. about her staff but nothing seemed to change. Furthermore the office is really unappealing, paint peeling, stains on some chairs etc... There are so many great doctors with professional, courteous, competent staff out there. My advice is to run to one of them before dealing with this one. Not worth the aggravation and ill treatment in my opinion.
Dr. Medavarm is a very compassionate doctor. She has saved me more than once. I was complaining about migraines for about 9 months. Since this was not usual for me she sent me for testing. They found a colloid cyst. It did require brain surgery to remove it. She took the time to find the best surgeon for the job. After calling the Mayo clinic they recommended a doctor at Loyola University Hospital Dr. Douglas Anderson. He had performed this surgery at least 12 times prior to mine. It is a rare condition. No one at the Mayo Clinic had experience with this type of Cyst. That was in 2005. I was back to work after 10 weeks with no problems. Thank you to both Doctors! And a big thanks for Dr Medavam taking her time to find the right Surgeon. That was key to my health.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
