Athletico Physical Therapy's Online Review Report Card

I procrastinated for years about my neck and upper back pain. I knew I needed PT but I was afraid of the pain and worried about the time commitment. Recently my issues were becoming more frequent and I was losing my range of motion moving my head from side to side and forget about turning my head to look at the back window of the car when I was driving.With my husband's prodding to go see Steve I finally made an appt. My first anxiety was relieved instantly when Nate, Steve's assistant, mentioned that they work with your schedule and time constaints.The evaluation was thorough. Steve explained everything he was doing and I wasn't in pain. Through the course of the PT he never pushed me past my pain tolerance.I now have great range of motion and can easily look at the back window of the car while driving. He gave me exercises to do so that I won't lose all the progress that I've made.You can tell that Steve and Nate work extra hard to create an atmosphere that distracts you from your therapy and they make it as comfortable as possible. And in the year of Covid they've taken every step to ensure a safe, distanced environment.So for all the procrastinators out there go see Steve so you can begin your road to becoming pain free!

Our son had a sore elbow and the PT here was lovely with him. The first session, the assessment, was free and it was nice to finally have some answers after wondering what was wrong. Thank you so much!

Since I started using Yelp for more than just restaurants, I decided to review this place. I had a total knee replacement in March 2017. For the past few years I have been putting off the surgery afraid of the excruciating pain I heard followed the surgery especially physical therapy! After the surgery the doctor said I probably wouldn't be able to straighten it since it was bent from walking with a limp for years ! I started Pt 3 days a week after 3 weeks of in home therapy! They were very accommodating to work around my schedule while I was off and when I returned to work! They have free taxi service if you are not able to drive! My therapist was James. I think "therapist" is the right term because he was great at listening to my whining. He was very understanding about the pain and discomfort associated with knee replacements. It was nice to be able to get answers without calling the Doctor or relying on searching the Internet! He was very gentle when manipulating my leg. Each week I noticed a considerable improvement in my range of motion! The excruciating pain I worried about didn't happen here! I did feel the work we did but quickly subsided with 10 minutes of icing after our session. With his help I was able to get my leg completely straight and bend it 132 degrees. I would highly recommend this location! The physical therapists all seemed very well educated and compassionate. I also like they have parking in the fire lane just for their patients so you could get in and out quickly ! While they don't have the best pizza, they do have the best physical therapists!!

I have tried several Physical Therapy places and I can say that I absolutely love this place. It's in the Buffalo Grove Fitness Center but you don't have to be a member to go to PT. They have parking reserved for Athletico literally in front of the door. James Rabbit is excellent and on the other occasions that I've had someone else they were just as good. This review is based on 3 separate incidents over a 2 year time period for 3 different members of my family including my two teenagers and we all Can vouch for the professionalism of James Rabbit !
