Fine Skin Dermatology's Online Review Report Card

We have been seeing Dr Bhatt for years. We had suspicious moles removed years ago, and we follow-up with her every 6 months. She helped my husband when he had shingles, and she is now treating an awful itchy rash I have developed. I highly recommend Fine Skin Dermatology. She has offices in Burr Ridge, New Lenox, Tinley Park and the West side of Joliet, Illinois.

BEWARE do NOT go to Fine Skin dermatology Dr Bhatt. The front desk had no idea what they were doing and the billing department office manager Colleen is very rude and they do not communicate well with insurance companies . My husband had a chemotherapy cream on his face for a month prior to his appointment for skin cancer and the day of his PDT appointment shockingly the office told us we needed to pay $350 upfront, or he could not be seen now and if we did not pay it then we had to leave . I was appalled . We have wonderful BCBS PPO insurance and our insurance had already preapproved this sent the paperwork to them that it was and I even had my insurance company on the phone telling the office that this was covered and there was NO $350 payment from us due . The office manager was so rude and told my husband if he didn’t pay the $350 upfront, he could not be seen. I asked to speak to the doctor and they would not even let us , so I had no choice but to pay the $350 as he was in dire need of this appointment. Later I had to call the office and leave messages repeatedly and finally got my $350 back in a check weeks later . Even worse now the doctor will NOT speak to or return any phone calls to my husband or myself regarding the questions he has about the ongoing recovery of his treatment. It’s clear this office cares more about money than it. does patient care or respect .There are many good dermatologists out there and I highly suggest you look for one , do NOT go to Fine Skin dermatology Dr. Bhatts office

Our family has been going to Dr. Bhatt for years now and we highly recommend her and the practice. She has recently help me with my acne she is extremely knowledgeable, caring doctor who listens closely to the matter at hand and works to use her skills to help effectively resolve that matter. The process to take care of my situation went smoothly from start to almost finished. The staff is very nice, competent and efficient. The facility is beautiful and clean.

The most obnoxious person at the front desk. Long, dishwater blond hair. Unless they are paying her to be a complete AH, she's overpaid. Completely ridiculous experience with her. I go up to the desk to check in. She asks for my id and insurance card, which I hold out to her to take for two minutes. She doesn't take them so I put them on the counter separating us. At this point she jumps up and out of her chair like she's going for a medal in the long jump and asks for them again. I point to them and she takes them and sits down again. She gives me a ridiculous volume of paperwork to complete. I attempt to hand that to her and she again makes no effort to take it from me. I again leave it on the counter and she again jumps up with more gusto and says "don't worry, I'll jump up to get it." At that point I start to laugh-partly because it's so overtly passive aggressive and partly because I was thinking-You getting up isn't close to a concern for me. SAfter there it was just a passive aggressive interaction all around. She starts with "this paperwork isn't filled out completely. My thinking was "you have what you need." Then it was something else and something else. I was tempted to walk out. I did chuckle- some guy brought his clipboard up and was complaining that there was BLOOD ON THE CLIPBOARD! I will say-the nurse practitioner I saw was great-(Hinja). After my interaction with the nut at the front desk though, I was pretty much committed to not coming back. Based on other reviews, apparently they feel no need to extend the most minimal common courtesy.

I went in for skin tag removal and it was handled quickly and delicately. My Nurse Practitioner Himja Bhatt, answered all my questions, was thorough, and made my experience painless. Healing went well and I had no issues. NP Bhatt encouraged I call in if I had any issues with healing. Highly recommend it, will definitely return for any dermatological needs.

I visited Fine Skin Dermatology for the first time a couple months ago and I had a great experience! It was my first dermatology appointment so I was kind of nervous but the staff there was very professional and immediately put me at ease. I met with one of the nurse practitioners, Himja Bhatt, and she was very nice and accommodating. After our appointment she let me know I could always contact her with any questions I might have after as well. Definitely going to be returning in the future!

Very easy to get an appointment. Staff was knowledgeable about the treatments they offered and helped choose the right one for my skin without pushing for extras I didn’t need, an issue I’ve encountered elsewhere. I am very happy with the results of the treatments we decided on.

I love seeing Dr. Bhatt and the Burr Ridge office is just so nice and comfortable! I always feel well taken care of.
