List of Gary Shaw Md's Reviews
Dr. Shaw & Staff's professionalism is tops. His biopsy procedure was excellent--again, BRAVO.
I saw him in Canton at Graham hospital. Uninterested and couldn’t care about anything.
Terrible.
stay as far Away as possible
Original surgery 2011 to supposedly clear and infected submandibular gland. When Dr Shaw performed the surgery his incision on my neck was down too far to reach the mass area. He closed me w/o completing the surgery because there were too many nerves in the area (I appreciate still being able to smile) however the result was me having to have an additional surgery to remove the original blockage 4 yrs later by a much more qualified ENT Dr. I have no scar from the second surgery and a huge scar from Dr. Gary York Shaw!
I think he is a quack I had surgery to repair a deviated septum in October 2015 and I still have clups of pea green and yellow comming out of my nose its so bad I can no longer wear my cpap machine at night and still have tenderness in my nose I had to put 1 star but I would not recommend him to anyone
Doctor Shaw removed my Thyroid in 2003 I notice a extra cut before leaving hospital. Asked nurse why there was a extra cut in the middle of throat. She said she have him come talk to me about it. He said taught he told my husband there was a accident and hit my throat. I figured that was a freak accident said would fix scar when he put my VNS in. When needed it done he didn't do them no more. So was sent to another Doctor and said when check vocal cords looked like was nicked. Went to Dr Shaw to ask if it he would check it out. He went off big time saw there was fine he didn't hit it. I was a little upset with him. So Still have scar on throat. And never really was told what happen. Other wise every visit was very good. I always wonder why he couldn't do VNS placement I can see why by some of the post. never sued because was a freak accident but wonder now if I should of?
Had a procedure to remove infected submandibular and unknown knot found. Dr. Shaw left most of the gland, and the knot. 4 years later 12/16/15 I've had the surgery for the second time and this surgery with my new doctor is a success. I would never recommend dr. Shaw to anyone.
After 13 years of having sinus surgery with this incompetent Dr still have issues. I should have cancelled the surgery when my gut told me to. Do NOT go to this guy. Where to I begin...with the fact that he gave us his fax number to get in touch with him in case of emergency, or the fact that he went on a cruise without letting us know right after my surgery, the fact that he was an hour late to take out my nose packing after the surgery and when he did show up told me to be a big girl when I started crying because he just yanked the packing out, not to mention the fact that during surgery he nicked a blood vessel so I had constant blood clots after the surgery oh AND I contracted CDIF!!! Never did follow up with this guy. Had to have a second surgery by another Dr to correct his mistakes and to this day I still cannot sleep on one side due to my nose clogging up. Just awful!! If I could give negatives I would. Should have sued.
He was not only 1 hour and 50 minutes late but sent my a large bill for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This man is a joke. If you value your time, your money, and your health go to someone else.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
