List of Paul Fishkin Md's Reviews
Dr Fishkin treated my husband for a nasty form of multiple myeloma for over 5 years. He always presented us with options available and listened to our input. He arranged visits to Mayo for second opinions and worked their staff to help come up with the best treatments for Larry. He also arranged for Larry to be considered for a trial. He also was supportive when we decided to stop treatment. We always had the feeling that we had the best care available. I would highly recommend him to treat any member of our family. He is a kind, considerate and gentle man who was always truthful with us
My stepfather was a patient of Dr. Fishkin. He saw both him and my mother at the MANY appts. throughout the year. Upon my step dads death, my mother went back to Dr. Fishkin's office to return the chemo pump that my stepfather used. When she approached the front desk, she saw Dr. Fishkin standing there speaking with one of the office staff. She informed them that she was returning the chemo pump that her husband wore prior to dying the week before. The clerical lady said "okay thank you". My mother then said, "don't you need my name"? Upon giving her name, Dr. Fishkin looked up and directly at my mom but said nothing. There was not one condolence from neither the office staff or Dr. Fishkin. As a cancer survivor myself, it saddens me that an oncologist and his staff could be that cold. I expect more. Kindness and compassion goes a long way, but does not seem to matter to this oncologist nor his staff.
His dedication and on going knowledge of current treatments is amazing. I think he lives cancer cure 24/7. He is pretty cut and dry when he speaks which is a problem for some. I go there because I trust him not for entertainment .
I was so sick prior to seeing Dr. Fishkin. He came up with a treatment plan and my life has changed for the better. I don't have the pain I used to have and I'm able to lead a great life.
I can't say enough about Dr. Fishkin and his staff in Canton ....... I've had nothing but prompt care since day one ........ Very Professional !!
First of all the day we went to see about the diagnois we sat for an hour in the office and there was no other patients in the waiting room. We could hear Fishkin in the hall a couple of times joking with the nurses and no one came to see about us.Dr. Fishkin has a very poor bedside manner and we felt as if he was thinking up treatment as he spoke to us.He never told us a treatment plan other than chemo. and just before leaving the office told my husband he would need a shot but didn't explain anything to us first. While talking to his scheduling nurse we also found out about needing steroid pills at the beginning of chemo and chemo counseling but Fishkin never mentioned anything about that to us. Anyway, he never shows a caring attitude to the patient. I'm sure since he sees this type of sickness he may have to put some barrier between him and his patients but there could still be some kind of compassion shown. Needless to say we have not been very happy with his care.
Excellent
I have been a patient of Dr Fishkin since 2002. He has a unique personality but don't we all. I feel I have been taken care of over all. My mother goes to another Dr in the same group and I fell like she gets little to no care/follow up and her cancer was further along initially than mine. Dr is on top of what is new and often offers to get me in a studie. the metastisis of the cancer kind of snuck up on us. Perhaps we should have had scans all along but thats in the past and I am fighting for today and tomorrow. I would recomend him to friends.
He told us my husband that he had a form of luekema not to worry. He said we could come back when we got back from Florida in the spring. But he prolly wouldn't need to have as a paitient. My husband keep getting more tired. We went a cancer doctor in Florida. My husdand's was diagnosed with perefferal lymphoma a rare and very aggressive form of cancer. He has been on chemo and it was not working. We started a new chemo last week. Dr. Fiskin was wrong it was luekema that you get when you are old. I sent for the blood work that Dr Fishkin had ordered. I got it it said that treatment be started on this patient . I guess dr Fishkin was too busy go to all his conferences. Don't trust him to help your loved one.
Rude, in a hurry, acted like he had better things to do than care for me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
