My primary Dr. Francis Lee referred me to one week of remote cardiogram to check my heart. After the procedure, Dr. Lee spoke to me and signed notes afterward. Now I received a letter from my insurance Medicare Advantage provided by Simplete with apologies that they had not yet processed the claim from Dr. Amir N. Cheema. This was the first time I've heard his name. He never contacted me, never signed anything in my chart and the charge was $3,379. Is this a proper procedure and customary charge?

My 70 year-old mother went to see Dr. Cheema after being referred by her general practitioner after an abnormal EKG. When the appointment finally arrives, her worrying the whole time prior, he asks her if she is having any of a series of heart attack symptoms, tightening in the chest, jaw pain, etc. When she said no, he sent her home without running any tests, telling her there are "many reasons for an abnormal EKG". No doubt he is going to bill her for his office time after wasting hers. Either he doesn't want any patients unless they have already had a heart attack, or he was in a hurry to get to the golf course that day.

As a family member of a recent cardiology patient, I finally had the nurses station page Dr. Cheema, because he stopped by my father’s room at 9 or 9:30 pm. By that time, all family had gone home and my father’s medications caused him to be confused and forgetful. In my conversation with him in the phone, he was arrogant, condescending, and when pressed about the time of his visit to my dad later that day, he said I’ll be there at 9:00 pm. I said ok. HE SHOWED UP AT 7:00! HE LIED TO ME!

Dr, Cheema is a very thorough and caring doctor. He is very good at explaining everything in terms we can understand. He is very pleasant and answers your questions readily. He is definitely a 5 star doctor.
